2legs - Hey, babe, take a walk on the wild side... Started conversation Aug 25, 2017
not long back from gym
20 KG bar, 3 sets of 20 reps, bicep curls, squats, bench pressing, and the weird 'shrug' things, plus 20 reps, X 3 sets of the lat pull down exercise (its a seperate 'machine' I do that on).
Started with warmup on the exercise bike, and ended on the exercise bike too. oh, and 20 reps X 3 sets of the abdominal crunch things
And, got home, via picking up fruit, fennel tea, salad stuff, and avocado from the Turkish shop... William talking to them again, in his latest language aquasition, Turkish (I'm trying to get a grip on it).
Came home, W made tea, and served it to me, in Turkish; so obviously I replied in Hindi
anyhow.... on the doormat when we got home.... a letter from the hospital
not an appointment 'machine generated' one though, a handwritten (well typed) letter.
oo. looks like my E-mail to my specialist nurse did good
Seems she informed my consultant of my GPs attitude towards me.
This letter was to the GP, CC-ed in to me, my specialist nurse, and the prof of the endo unit.
oh.... all politely written, of course..... but so demeaning to my GP.... basically telling him off, and over-ruling anything he might try to think, "we decided at a multidisaplinary meeting, in the endo unit..." "2legs's is intollerant of tablet levo...." "prescribe this.... (details)".
Only, problem I think* with the letter... - by my calculation she's miscalculated the 'volume' of liquid levo, at the 'concentrations' the med actuall comes in....
A dose (daily) of 12.5 McG - the lowest concentration liquid levo is 25 McG per 5 ML solution. - doesn't that equal 2.5 ML of that concentration to give a 12.5 McG dose? she's stated 0.65 ML . . . - and doesn't specify the concentration of the liquid levothyroxin.... (I'm pretty sure I can't see any version of it listed in anything less than 25 McG per 5 ML solution)
so... assuming the GP can figure out how to prescribe that... - I expect my loverly pharmacist, may be phoning me at some point to say " what the are your Drs doing? - I shall have words with them...." assuming as I think that dosage is worked out incorrectly
Which will be good. nothing puts the fear of BoB into my Gp(s), more than a fuming, Polish, pharmacist, storming over the road, to chastise them, and TELL them how rubbish they are, and to stop 'messing about her patient' - my pharmacist is the only Dr or consultant I have who actually seems to have sound, correct, and accurate scientific ability and knowledge... and she's not a Dr or conmsultant
But... oo... my GP realy got a huge dressing down in this letter... - I'll not at all be supprised if he phones to appologise again (and try save his neck from disaplinary action and losing his job).
oh, the other thing in the letter; my consultant said she'd spoke to my GP - which may explain the first apology from my GP I got .. er... last week.
talk about ineffecient though.
Six months I've not been on medication now. not being on medication can lead to 'organ dammage'.
nearly two months since consultant decided to prescribe the liquid form of the medication.
and... waht.... about two weeks since they told the GP to prescribe? and now it'll be dragged on further; as this is a bank holiday weekend, so nothing will happen now, until Tuesday. - at that point, the pharmacy might* get the prescription request. (assuming they can work out the dosage), and order the drug, it might appear there by the end of the week. so, perhaps the following Monday I'll be able to pick it up
and, of course, there's nothing to indicate wheather or not I can tollerate this version of the med, as no one at the hospital bothered to do any testing on me, for reactions to the various filllers, to see if it was* one of the fillers in the tablet form I was reacting too, rather than the active ingredient, visa the med itself...
Still nothing from cardiology.
Still nothing about starting statins.
Still nothing about starting treatment for osteoporosis (6 months after , err, more actualy, I was diagnosed with it).
Still nothing about my fractured spine.
oo. must be lunchtime

Double amazing!
double, amazing, with sugar on the top!
Double amazing with sugar coated sugar on the top
OK.... so I just logged into my prescription/surgary website...
and.
The GP (or A GP; or a receptionists (seems unnlikely), has* prescribed the liquid levothyroxin;
and. Someone, somewhere, at my surgery can do maths!
liquid levo, 50 McG per 5 ML, orgal oral solution; dose; 1.25 ML per day; which by my calculations is* the 12.5 McG per dose concentration (why they've not picked the 25 McG per 5 ML oral solution, I don't knwo; maybe price? dunno)
So, assuming the pharmacy gets that request today, and pts it into their next order... and assuming they can get it delivered quickly, it might* be there by Tuesday or Wednesday
I'm getting exausted now just trying to get meds prescribed properly and double check they're calculations on dosage etc tiem for more then some lunch I thinks

An apology from a doctor is a very rare event! I almost got one from the consultant who operated on my tibia, after I woke from the operation in such a lot of pain and it turned out that he had given his registrar the instructions to close the wound and give me a local anaesthetic, but he only did the first thing. It was more of an explanation and a handing off of responsibility.

yes... and the apology from the GP Dr, was probably before he recieved this letter, from my consultant, telling him of..... - I've a feeling the GP concerned might be on best behavior with me, if our paths cross again soon....Well, either he is, or, it might come to pass... than..... that... under the biochemical duress of my fluctuating testosterone levels, and other bioehcemical anomolies, it just might happen I do actually punch him (and, if I did, it probably woudln't be a conscious thing.... hormones do rather.... take control of one sometimes ) - at least it slooks like I might finally be getting the liquid levo... and, assuming I can tollerate it... and it doesn't give hurrendous side effects, it might actually restore' a bit of my biochemistry that has now been unrestored for.... err... since Febuary 2015 - asides antyhing it oughta make my body more able to use and utalise protein, carbohydrate, lipids etc, and may also improve my bones (and help burnt calories) - next level gym training here I come...

boreing bank holiday weekend quiet here, earlier in the day, so after a late breakfast, and drugs, went out with W for a walk, down the river (heading out of town direction); quite supprised as there were very few people down by the river... had a nap later on, and now cooking dinner... ment to be at a LGBT drink pub thing tonight... but as its in town, and likely massively busy, we might drop out of going to that... maybe go to one of the pubs nearer here instead, which oughta be a little quieter and less crowded Pub last night was dead... which was confusing everyone given its a bank holiday and a friday - especially the barmen and landlord Gym tomorrow
