2legs - Hey, babe, take a walk on the wild side... Posted May 20, 2017
that's a really great idea!
As it was, W woke early and got onto the phone, and got me an appointment
so went along at 3.30 and saw a GP who I have..... relative trust and confedence in
Got him to look at my spots whilst I was there - combination of pubity (I.E., my taking testosterone every 12 weeks, then dropping to low testosterone, then going high testo again on the next injection), but mainly due to the prednisolone/steroids.... - I've got them really bad on the chest, and all over the back
So he's given me a 50 day course of antibiotics (not one I've had before), which is for treating scarring achnee - took one yesterday, and one today; already the spots are going down in colour and their level of how raised thy are (actually they were really getting me down, not just the fact they hurt constantly, and itch, but alos, as they are kinda disfiguring; my new dress I got recently for example I cna't wear as it shows too many spots on my back and* chest) - really hopeing these antibiotics can make them vanish
Also, he talked about the cosaar (angiotencin receptor antagonist) - and basically I have to take it, as the risk of not, I.E., a fatal annurism rupture, is kinda worse than not taking them... - on a low dose to start, so I'll see how that goes....
Pharmacy had the antibiotic, but not the cosaar, so we're goign back to pharmacy Monday to pck them up (and I'll try get a talk with pharmacist, who is brillient; just to discuss when best to take them, around my other meds, and what side effects I need to watch out for, and things like interaction problems with other meds).
Also, GP has got us the forms, to have a sodium/potasium test, in 10 days after starting, to make sure the new drug isn't messing them up; He then wants a blood pressure reading, just before th e end of this 28 day prescription; as they want to step-wise increase the dose, to get BP low (it is low already mind).
in lew of this, we've printed a sheet out, and are doing twice daily BP and HR readings (we have an electornic upper arm BP machine), so we can get a broader picture of the effect....
My HR at 10 AM today was 51, and BP of 120 over 81, and this afternoon (a while after a one and a half hour walk), I was 128 over 80, with a HR of 61.... - will do that for today, tomorrow, and Monday, then probably start the cosaar Tuesday mroning; so can have a before/after picture of some BP readings (on this machien at home), and taken in a home setting rahter than at hospital or Surgery... - my last hospital reaidng was soemthing like 114 over 85...
Went to gym yesterday morning, before going to see GP, which was good (about half an hour on the exercise bike, 20 minutes on the treadmill, and some situps and leg raises etc)
Did a long walk today by the river (partly in the rain, damnit!), for an hour and a half, and we hope to do another long walk tomorrow, if the weather is good, and also on Monday if we can, as we dont' have much on Monday cept picking up the medications and useually the daily groceyrs (vegetables and fruit and salad bits etc)
yesterday Poochy went to the gym and got fussed over by the trainer.... but we didn't take her to the GP or pharmacy as we thought it might frightened her
Today she went out to Waitrose again, plus to the shop next door
Went out to the pub last night, which was good, - would have drunk more, but got engrossed in conversation with an electron microsopist microscope person... plus one very odd thing... - as I was coming out of athe loo.... a random bloke, commented 'how amazing' my leggings were (theyre some of the new snazzy ones from the USA); these are with roses on them = and the guy commented on them... and.... sort of did a 'throat growl' thing = dja think he was chatting me up?!
We were going to go out tonight, but... its wet and cold out, so I'm going to plant myself in a very hot bubbly bath, with lots of Lush, and bodyshop stuff, plus a ton of Epsum salts
Not looking forward to starting these Cosaar medications... = I recall how horrible I felt when on hydrocortisone; which made me have very low BP; light headed, dizzy and uncordinated constantly wich I assume was due to the low BP, and the cossar have some other horrible side effects too, like insomnia (like I don't get it bad enough already), imputitance, weight gain... - plus I wonder how that will afect what I do at the gym, if my BP is being artifically kept down...

oo. We've taken Poochy so many places.... today she went to the bank, Waitrose, Tescos, Mr Patel's shop next door, the surgery pharmacy and a long walk in town, oh, and to Boots in town too I think
Got boared last night went to pub, stopped in at international on way home and bought an avocado, which we had today for lunch
Went back to pharmacy today, to pick up the cazaar (I think that is the name; brand name of the angiotencin II receptor antognist to reduce my BP), = I still think this will make me realy ill; my BP is always low; this afternoon we read my BP and it was 106 over 66 (this before I start the BP lowering med)
anyhow, went back to pharmacy; they didn't have it yet... so need to go back tomorrow, which we can't, so will have to go pick it up Wednesday or Thursday...
Tomorro a friend of mine, who was a mutual friend of myself and my late partner C who died back in 2014 - known him for years, and go t back in contact with him this year, in Febuary, when W and I were in Noriwhc, anyhow, he's coming over tomorrof for the Cambridge beer festavil so will meet up with him at 2 PM, then go to the beer festavil
Gym tomorro morning, off out tonight, soon, (after W and I have showered), for a meal; its W's birthday today he's officially now
Antibiotic day four today and its definately making me feel ill.... but its also definately making the scarring achnee err, achne achne however its spelt, improve, so... only 46 days of it left
My turn to go shower once William's finished, then probably off out for a curry I think ... - always tricky to count calories on a eating out meal, but will go for something less calorific... so not a curry with lots of sauce as they useually come in quite high... maybe tandori with some plain rice, and a veg side and split the side between us then may pop to a little old pub near here, for an hour after that... then gym in morning - feeling so tired and out of it, l ahd to increase my steorid dose a bit as I felt on edge of going into crisis yesterday and not felt a lot etter than that for most of today

Poochy had a loverly, but busy day today... Took her to the pharmacy this morning, then Waitrose adn Tescos, and its so warm this evening, we went out for a late night walk... into town, past by all the grotty nightclubs, and past all the young girls wearing insufficient amounts of clothing, or just amounts of cloting with insufficient matterial trotty nightclubs, past a few pubs (all basically empty), cafes, either closed or with no one in... asides the few people wondeirng about in the center, not many people out really... then came back onto Mill Rd, and went into the International, with Poochy, and bought some fennel tea, an avocado and some more Turkish cheese then walked home.... past another couple of pubs, just turning out by that point, none of which looked like they were or had been very busy - about an hour or so walking this evening, plus the half an hour earlier and now its nearly midnight, so must go inject myself maybe in a leg, just for a change and take my melatonin, before its then time for a little supper
