So, after twenty months of when I first repoted oedema, to oncology at the time, (before Endocrine would see me), and oo,at least 17 months since I first reported oedema to endocrineology, and thanks now, to a letter from endocrinology, back-tracking on what the consultant told me, at the clinic, earlier this month, she's changed her mind; I'l be starting some form of treatment for the bone density/ostioporosis, to be discussed in April at next clinic, and my GP was instructed to try me on a small dose of loop-diuretic, and monitor electrolights...

So, got the GP to issue that, and they ignored the instruction to phone me when the meds were ready; I logged on last night to the prescription electronic system, and saw they'd issued the script to the pharmacy, so went to the pharmacy today... and got diuretic!; plus a pre-made out form to take to do bloods in one weeks time, to monitir, in particular my sodium and potassium.

I took one diuretic today - in afternoon of course by the time I got the meds, but will be taken in morning in future.

I took it at 4 PM.

I q weighed myself at 7.30.

I@ve lost 3 Lb in weight. smiley - whistlesmiley - yikes

If that continues, between now and the next 'fat club', on Wednesday, I might have lost a stone in a week smiley - snork - Pity the fat club thing hsn't got a prize for who looses the most weight smiley - laugh

continued with the exercise, 45 minutes today, fast walking (enough in my unfit state to get me quite sweaty smiley - blushsmiley - yuk )

and still counting the calories, averaging about 1500 calories a day, and not starving myself to achieve that, and not eating 'weird' food, just what I useually in some ways eat, but adjusted slightly etc smiley - zen - salmon roasted with onion an rosemary tonight, with wild rice, green salad and green beans and peas. smiley - zen

Bought a pair of sissors in town, to keep my moustache under control... it was getting a bit wild, and even the full strength moustache wax wasn't holding it in shape properly; so figured I needed a better pair of sissors, to accompany my moustache oil, wax, and handmade moustache comb I bought a while back smiley - zensmiley - diva

smiley - weird not sure how much more, if any I've lost today... in contradition to having taken the diuretic for two days now I seem to have virtually stopped peeing all together smiley - huhsmiley - shrug obscenely healthy kale and mushroom risotto currently cooking for dinner but may have to go out tonight, for a social event, so shall have to watch the beer intake smiley - alesmiley - dohsmiley - weird

offsetting yesterdays calory intake, to exercise, visa walking, I was still under my daily goal, despite the beer in the evening smiley - alesmiley - cool mind, today, with no beer, but a walk out earlier, think I'll be about 400 under goal, even with supper, and dinner included.... Dinner is just cooking, lemon cumin chicken and rice pilaf, with lots of garlic, onion, mushroom, and some chillis, spiced with cumin sed, mustard seed, oragino, black pepper, a little rosemary, and of course the juice of one lemon smiley - drool to be eaten with lettuce cucumber and tomato salad. had two more of the giant flat mushrooms for breakfast, grilled, with black pepper, with some scrambled eggs to go with it; I must watch my colesterole intake, as that seems high, but, conversely, I'm miles under my sodium intake and potassium, which I need to figure out somehow how to increase both, without resorting to junk food high in sodium.... I've had bannana today, which helps with the potassium of course.... calcium intake seems low too, which is odd, so a good job I take lots of calcium citrate with the suppliments i take in the evening, along with 800 IU and 1600 IU vitamine D, on alternating days smiley - weird

now down 5 Lb since I started teh diuretics and increased exercise, and started calory counting, on Friday.... smiley - ermsmiley - yikes

My scales sem a little variable... but that seems to be indicating about 9 Lb down so far smiley - ermsmiley - yikes
