Ah, so they are treating your blood, not treating you as a person who happens to contain blood...
That does sound more positive that the endocrinologist agrees that not taking the levo is better for you than taking it. Let's hope the next appointment finally starts to examine the situation more logically indeed...

Logic would be nice. I used to have this thing, where I figured Drs by nature of their background, and studying, were scientifically minded, now I'm not sure.
Of course, the first Dr I saw for about a year or so, in endocrinology, wasn't actually a qualified Dr. seriously. - he is not a MD. he's a PhD Dr, he's a professor, and, honory consultant. fabulus.
I did a quick recheck last night, going through the hyper symptoms for cortisol, and thyroid, and I've more matching symptoms for them, than I ever have had, for hypo of one or both.
No Dr at teh hospital, has ever enquired about symptoms. It was over a year before a Dr even examined my oedema. It was only my request that got me to have the bone density scan, that then relvead I have oastioporosis, which is, itself a sign of over-replacement with steroids, or, of hypercortisolism not hypo.
I'm going to arm myself, hopefully before the app, with as much science in relation to it, as I can, differnential diagnosis, etc, and get my head round remembering it all, like I used to be able to do, - things like oesinophillia (listed as a differntial DX for addison's, and which I know is often associated with the Hodkin's lymphoma which I had at time of DX)
I still wanna get hold of my hospital records from January 2015; when I had the brain hemoridge, as it was duering that hospital stay, they did the blood test and DX Addison's (thinking it was primary addison's at the time).
one of the signs/symptoms that lead them to DX Addisons was that I had very low sodium; low sodium is often fo coexisting with addisons; but only primary addisons, not the secondary Addisons as I am now supposed to have due to the pitutiary connectetion
also, I've no idea what, if any meds I was given post the hemoridge; I dunno.... maybe I was given steroids to reduce brain swelling? - result of exoginious steroids is to lower bodies own production of cortisol,
Too ill I think to leave house again today, so tired. <sleepy. - woke early, at 7, got up took drugs, ate, had coffee, then went back to bed, until postman rang doorbell

Use the voice recorder app on your phone during all future appointments.
This is something I've been meaning to do as well as I can't trust myself to remember everything I'm told when they start speaking doctorese.

I'm alright with doctor-ese. its when they do 'baby talk' on me, I get really confused....... "The X/Y/Z, works in your body like an army to blah blahb blah blah", I.E., the easy explinations of stuff, for the 'general public', - I've a BSc in biomedical sciences and a Masters in immunology and genetic, I cna't understand teh 'plain versions' of biomedical stuff, I need the real thing or I'm lost... - I think it does me harm rather than good, from the opposite side; as I'll give symptoms over to the Dr, using medical langugage, not 'normal language', as its the language I know, and using the right term I assume means it can't be misinterprited, but, actually I think it just wrong foots them but, I cna't revert back and un-know what I already know... If I know its called hyponatrinia then I'll use that term, obviously.... etc... - My memory is a lot better now, I don't have too much problems remember what the Drs say, just they don't say much, or rather don't say anything related to what I ask or tell them... its what they don't say that is more important; I.E., not ever asking me about symptoms, or suggesting anything, unless I come up with the answer myself first

Well, even more reason to record the sessions. That way you'll have a record of what they omitted as well.
