2legs - Hey, babe, take a walk on the wild side...

smiley - wow so, I think i've had just one week of the HGH so far, tonight I think is the eigth injection, and still of course on the tiny starting dose of 0.2 (they may up that when I go to clinic for GH follow up no 1, on err. the 16th of January I think it is smiley - doh ).

OK; so last january, I.E., January 2016, just after I got back from Sweden, I had the portacath removed from my chest; the scar left behind, has never really properly heeled.... occasionally it seems to open up a bit, and give up a little bit more of the undisolved stitching, or just not settle; W says the colour has always looked 'angry', and its remained very raised.

not any more. smiley - erm its flatterunred out a lot, so isn't so proud off the skin, and almost entirely flat now in the middle of it, and the colour has returned, err, basically to normal pale skin colour, and to touch; it feels more like 'ordinary skin', smiley - cool - must be an affect of the HGH smiley - cool

slept really well last night, but the levothyroxin on waking made me feel so lousy, that, after taking B-12, B-complex, then coffee, then prednisolone, eye drops, and breakfast, I went back to bed, about 11 AM, and didn't wake until gone 3 PM.

smiley - sleepy still just want to sleep now smiley - sleepy - I think the increased sleep thing can be a HGH sideefect; oddly I've read its less of a thing once your on a higher dose, but that the lower starting doses can cause increased excessive sleepyness, whereas the high doses, just give really good night time sleeps smiley - zensmiley - magic

kinda supprised just how normal and second nature injecting myself seems now, true I guess its a bit of a drag, and just yet another reminder of how ill I must be etc, but the actual thing itself, the only difficulity is trying to recall where I injected the last few times, in order to find a new spot to inject.... last night was left top of abdomin, so tonight I think is middle top of abdomin, as the night before that was right top of abdomin.... guess I can think of moving more round the sides of the abdomin too, so long as its somwehre my arms can stretch too in order to inject I guess.... smiley - ermsmiley - geek

bangers ans mash for dinner tonight I think, I might go start preparing the spuds soon... and get them on to boil ready to mash smiley - zensmiley - hotdog had a fried egg and four slices of black pudding for breakfast, and a small ham sandwich, late afternoon after I woke from the nap smiley - sleepy

definately feeling colder now, last night and today; wearing a full length, to my ankles wool skirt (and its high waisted, empire waistline, plus my raindeer Christmas socks smiley - diva even so, I probabloy oughta have put some leggings on under the skirt smiley - blushsmiley - brrsmiley - sleepy

Deb

Can you assign a day for each injection site, so you can think "Oh, it's Thursday, it must be right buttock day" or whatever?

It's a problem I understand as I inject insulin 4 times a day and need to vary the sites. It doesn't help that it always hurts if I inject in my right thigh so I tend to avoid there.

It's probably doing you the world of good to get in a bit more sleep at the moment. You should probably just go with it where possible. You do seem to have scarily little sleep as the norm.

Deb smiley - cheerup

I'm unlikely to hit exactly the same spot each time anyhow, with the injections, maybe your idea is a good one, to work it out! I'll have to think about it, to come up with a plan that will work for me, easily to remember too! smiley - laughsmiley - doh - th eonly place I've found so far I can really feel the needle go in at all is on my thighs at the top, although last night, I went err, sort of low down on the abdomin on the left hand side.... a bit below the belly button level, err, basically the love handle on that side smiley - blush I could feel that go in, which was good smiley - zen - I must try injecting my neck.... so I can freak people out, and randomly stab myself there with the pen when injecting in company smiley - evilgrinsmiley - biggrinsmiley - cool

my sleep is weird... last nigh twent up to bed at about 2 AM, so fell asleep some time after that, then woke at 7; feeling fine, fully refreshed, no pain, no muscle weakness, no cognative problems/brain fog.
within a few minutes after taking my morning levothyroxin (thyroid drug), I felt dredful, tired/fatigue, aching weak feeling msucles, brain fog, barely able to stay awake.... - pottered online on the IPad until 10, when I thought I really must take my steroids, and so cooked bacon for breakfast (I think the smell of which woke W up) smiley - laugh took steroids, ate bacon, and after having some coffee with w, went back to bed... until 1 PM, when the doorbell went and we had a visitor.... now its gone 4 PM, I'm ready for a second nap.... - I'm going to have words with the endo consultant January, to finally make them listen to me, about the levothyroxin; either they give me something differnt, that works and doesn't make me ill every day, or I'm simply going to stop taking it, and screw the consequences. there choice.- or of course they could investigate as to why I react so badly to it, counter way round to what its ment to do, basically, you know... like they were... science people or something smiley - grrsmiley - evilgrin Now I've reduced the steroid dose, its the levothyroxin that makes me the most ill, - the month or so I dropped it entirely, I felt so well smiley - ermsmiley - weird

Also, they can do something about my testosterone, and investigate my now very odd response to the injections; my levels of testosteorne now go down when I get an injetion; huh? smiley - laugh yep, totally the opposite way round, I've a few ideas why, so they can do some figuring out themselves, or just go with my suggestions and investigate smiley - grrsmiley - zen

the visitor we had today, is a friend of W, from years back who I've known now, too, for about five years. smiley - bleep ing heck.... he's.... a struggle..... - the peace when he leaves! smiley - wow he... just... talks.... mindlessly..... smiley - headhurts useually there is an easy way to make the talking stop.... but... smiley - blush my labido isn't high enough ATM smiley - whistlesmiley - run
