2legs - Hey, babe, take a walk on the wild side...

smiley - evilgrin
Felt relatively good today. asides useual pain all over my body, muscle cramps and joint pain, and a bit of a headache.... felt more or less 'with it', and haven't been overly dizzy either smiley - erm a few problems with sound processing which is weird.... - like I can't 'cope' with sounds, (is that some kind of weird anxiety thing... not sure) smiley - weird - if it is anxiety.... I dunno... I mean, I'm pretty sure I don't knwo exactly what anxiety feels like, not something I've ever relaly done... and I'm not conscious of bein anxious.. smiley - weird - its like the brain thing can't process co-existing sounds, so, say having the wireless on, whilst traffic noise outside can be too much, or trying to hold a conversation whilst noise is outside or radio is on, etc.... which is a bit annoying when I'm really rather relient of course on sounds for, well moast things smiley - wah

Drugs seemed to go in easily this mroning, without causing collapse in my precariously balanced biochemistry smiley - zen

oh; and I tried the B12 sublingual smiley - zen - not overlly flavoured which is good, as they take a fair while to disolve.... so I can't drink my morning smiley - coffee really whilst they disolve.... -0- luckily I can d do snus at the same time smiley - whistlesmiley - zen

took 2 tablets today, 2000 MG, and I'll do that for five days or so I think, then drop to just one a day, which soud be adaquate, and hopefully at some point they'll measure my B12 again, and I can see if its done any good (was down at about 200 ish from meory; I want it up over 500 and nearer 700 preferably) smiley - zen - the B-complex vitamines haven't arrived yet, so can add them in when they arrive.

Which reminds me, must go get more vitamine D3 and more calcium tablets this week, plus need to find out the best form of magnessium and zinc, and get those too smiley - zen as my calcium/magnesiuim/xzic combo tablets are nearly run out; I don't want them ones again, as it isn't calcium citrate in it, which is better for absorption than calcium carbonate (which they do contain), and I want to up the magnesium I'm taking, and move the magnesium dose to late at night seprate from the calcium, plus, I must get round to sourcing a decent version of vitamine K (to direct calcium to bones and away from artery walls) smiley - zen

W woke early; adn spent half an hour on the phone, to contact the surgery, and got me a GP app! smiley - wow

So trudged to the surgery for 11 and saw the nice Dr.

(and I forgot to ask her what perfume she was wearing, it was gorgeous smiley - drool ) smiley - blush

She must hav eknown I was coming; she contrasted my leopard print leggings, with her leopard print shoes smiley - envy want#! smiley - wah so want leopard print shoes... or boots... boots would be so coollll ... smiley - laugh

Anyhow, we told her of the last endo app, and she has said she'll chase up the letter from the endo consultant, as they havne't had one, and neither have we.

She thinks the oedema may be lymphoedema, caused by the chemotherapy (so tahnks, my oncology consultants, for ignoring it, and just denieing its their repsonsbility) smiley - grr
So she's going to write to oncology.

She's going to refer me though, in order to bipass the useless smiley - bleep s at oncology, directly to a lymphodemea clinic, which is local, and so they can examine me, and if it is lymphoedema, I guess do what little treatment they can for it smiley - wah

GP is also refering me to a dietition which could be useful , both for weight control, (and trying to lose), plus advice on diet for thing slike nutrients, given absorp0tion problems, caused by the meds and the PHP... smiley - zen - anyhow, from looking online weight control is one of the treatments for lymphoedema as part of other measures.- I've put four stone ... or more on since starting steroids; mostly that was due to the hydrocortisone, and I'm not gaining so much now (and a hell of a lot of it must be water!) smiley - laugh - I've heard of people on the steroids I'm on, gaining 50 Lb of water in a few months due to fluid retention Ky smiley - yikes

asked again about diuretics, but she seemed unsure, and said she'll consult with her other Dr s there,

I quizzed over my potassium; she had more recent results than I'd found, from last month, and both my sodium and potassium are normal (which is slightly odd really given most PHP patients have really wonky potasium and sodium regulation) smiley - cool

She examined my nodes, in my armpits, neck, collar bones, etc; she agress with me, I've got an enlarge thyroid gland now; this is probably due to being on replacement thyroid meds; the gland just gets... boared and enlarges I think randomly. - ATM its not causing me any difficulity with swallowing or breathing though, so that is OK I guess smiley - erm - maybe I'll mention the thyroid gland enlargement to endocrine Dr next time, though I really dont' want bluddy surgery on it smiley - wahsmiley - grovel or anything... smiley - grovel

Dr said all my lymph nodes look fine, maybe just a couple up in the neck area, but nothing unsual like smiley - zensmiley - magic

she examined the oedema in my arms again, and legs, and also the large area which, oddly is on my right shoulder blade at the back; too far back for me to feel it myself (my arms don't bend that much!) - but I notice it by how tight everything I wear is, over that shoulder smiley - wah

some... progress... - but as useual, now I've no idea what we're ment to do... - wait to hear back? go see her in a coule weeks if not heard anything? smiley - erm probably one of those.

now. an dexciting new section!:
