2legs - Hey, babe, take a walk on the wild side... Started conversation Nov 4, 2016
today was unusual.
I guess it is what I shall have to now start thinking of, as 'one of my good days'. This sadly seems to be a common-place concept amongst the chronicallyl ill, and those including those with hypopituitarism and panhypopituitarism.
I slept quite well, woke and took the levothyroxin on empty stomach witha glass of water as per, and ... didn't get hit by the useual fatigue and brain fog this then brings on, over the 45 minutes to an hour I then wait for it to absorb before eating, in order to eat something to let me take the prednisolone, which is the most essential to life of the hormones I take.
So, after about an hour I took the prednisolone, with some boiled eggs and wholemal toast, as per useual
and... didn't feel too totally aweful.
True, I still had the constant headache, and after the Pred some muscle weakness and pain, but, generally I didn't feel totally like death.
So I got properly dressed and went into town with W, via the bank to get some and then to Lush cosmetics, for bath supplies.....
I only got into bathing last year, and its still about the only therapy/medication I've tried that produces actual well-being affect
sourced about £40 worth of bath bombs, bath melts and suchlike and went to the counter, having chatted to a few of the staff in teh store, that we know (they all fancy me I think ).
so, chatted to the girl we know well who was on the tills today, and she's off soon, to take a job at another department of the store, in Australian, so I guess we'll not be seeing her for some time (got the idea she may be gone for about a year or so, then coming back to the UK).
so, she toted it through the till...... \,
£24 Ok.... - we chedked on getting home, she'd naughtily stuck about half the purcahses through without ringing them up
came home, via Waitrose to get a bit of food, and then had lunch, about 2 PM, and a little after 3 PM (once the shool kids had vanished from the street outside), had a nap (I was fatigueing a lot by then).
I actually slep. I know this as I had a very odd dream.
In the dream I was in hospital, in a hospital bed, being wheeled through ... and Had some kind of ... 'mask' on ... and was hooked up to drips etc.... and the I assume Dr was talking to W, not to me... and I was bein ignored.... and... in the dream, I got anoyed... at why they were not talking to me as the patient (Drs do this in real life to me, as they don't think I'm human, being blind).
so, I ripped off the mask, and took out the I.V lines, and fled.....
odd thing is... I got a very strong impression it wasn't a hospital hospital... but some kind of .... mental hospital which is, in all reality wher eI'll likely end up at some point, fi the drugs carry on messing with my mind as they have done thus far
so. a very odd dream, and oddly the first I can recall for ages (the meds screw up sleeping and my dreams; I can't seem to do lucid dreaming anymore which is a pity as I miss that, a lot )
Cooked grilled tunastaks with onions thrown over, in olive oil with rosemary and pepper, and had wild rice with peas thrown in, to go with it, and also some fine whole long beans... err, French beans? I'm never sure what those things are called for dinner... whcih was very nice and filling too
and I just had an ... hour or so long bath then a quick shower to get the gunk off and moistured.... moisturised... with rose moisturiser I got a while back to make a change from the coconut body butter, or chay body butter I've been using recently.... Had a Lush bath bomb, called 'pud' I think, in the bath tonight, plus some of the Bodyshop rose bath oil which I like and coconut shampoo, of course
Dont' actually feel too aweful at the moment, muscles quite relaxed now, after the bath, and just feleing a little light headed, dizzy and brain foggy.... - and I only just got this journal in before midnight Must go drink some fennel tea now
Oh. and for full measure.... only err... went to the loo once today which was nice Must start really gathering my thoughts about everything and stuff, ready for the clinic appointment with endocrine consultant, the new one, on the 11th, no idea if my next one is soon after that, which would be three months after, or perhaps as I'm now 'cured' (blood levels looking normal), they[ll probably try move me to once yearly or some rubbish... right, must go get tea

As far as I know, we don't have Lush stores here in Texas. But I couldn't help but think about you the other day when on a very small subreddit (/r/dontpanic) someone posted a picture of a bottle containing bright yellow mouthwash tablets sold by Lush. I'll quote the label.

ooo... I'm so going to have to look them out in teh store the next time we visit : I've not moved very far from just their bath stuff really, though I did get some of their shower gel/body wash which was really good, last year, and also some of their moisturiser which was pretty and they briefly last year did this dry handwash powder which was absolutley brillient, when my hands started falling to bits, from the chemical dammage due to reactions from the chemo drugs, and the dryness on the hands from constant handwashing due to the low white cell count; the dry powder stuff you still used with water, but it was moisturising and just didn't dry the hands out like soap or liquid soap did (they discontinued it though I think), oh, and I've also used one of their rediculusly expensive exfoliating solid scrub things... which was the only product yet I got disapointed in... oh, and I got some of their dry sunblock stuff to use last summer, whilst the bleocin was still in my system (I think it was that chemo drug, which hugely increases your risk of skin cancer, immediately following treatment) - I'd tried ordinary sunblock creams, but just found them so yucky I didn't lik eusing them I seem to spend all my money thesedays on luxary bath/cosmetics.... which I guess is healthier than the cigarettes I used to spend the money on hmm... actually I spend an aweful lot more now on clothing too, but I've had to get an enaitre new wardrobe of clothes, since I had my body mess with my gender so much I had to give up trying to dress male
I feel.... oddly .... 'normal' today most... strange...
