I rather like her actually... I'm sure she's not really as fierce as she comes across.... Not quite sure what nationality she is, I think possibly Russian. And, I think a lot of what comes over as 'fierceness', is just a very meger way with words... - there are no extra words other than what is required... blunt one might say.
Effecient I say. very effecent. effecient ... effecient... however its spalt.
Anyhow, went to speak to her the other day, after seeing GP, to enquire about differnt makes of levothyroxin, and.... she in her abrupt way said
"I will sort it for you".
William was in to the GP this morning, following up the disaster with his ears, in trying to get refered to a place that actually does ear stuff; part of the wonder of the slow privitisation of the NHS he got refered, since Febuary to private places that don't do the tests he needs, then one who went bankrupt and now, at last is being refered to the hospital, which, well, really, one would have assumed was the first not last port of call.
Anyhow, as he was there, he popped into the pharmacy....
The fierce pharmacist was there.
She appologised for not yet phoning; she was waiting until they had the 50 McG tablets in, as the company had eronsiously sent her a pack of a 1000 tablets - but she did have the pack of 25 McG levothyroxin, a proper brand name one, not generic.
Nicer box. tablets are slightly larger (possible to pick them up maybe this time), ad the blister pack has the tablets laid out in a logical fashion, not just higgly piggly /random.
So, shall start trying them tomorrow.
yes. branded VS generic can make a differnce; not just the packing agents, in it, but, in the case of levothyroxin, the active ingredient is a slightly differnt form of levothyroxin, so hoping that might make quite some differnfce.... may wait until I get the 50 McG tablets before trying; recently I stopped taking the 25 McG and switched to takign the 50 McG tablets I had in, as they were a differnt make to the 25 McG tablets, and that improved a lot of things in me so, now tihe can try the 25 McG in a proper brand name/make, as oppsoited to the generics
Depending how that goes, I think I'll ask her to get me some branded Prednisolone too.
In otter news, W was taking to the GP, and the GP asked about me (this isn't a GP I've seen I think).
The GP seemed supprised I was able to function at all, get out of the house etc... so maybe I'm not doing as badly as I think; but unless I get told the truth about my condition from the endocrine nurses etc, then I can only pressume I'm still aiming for fully fit and 'normal' as it were; the information one is given is often so over-sweet and 'don't panic the patients' I.E., don't tell them the truth, that I'm just not sure if my expectations are too high or not although of course for most patients with panhypopituitarism, they have signs and symptoms of the disease/condition itself, which I don't, unless I take meds when I immediately get symptoms of over medication, or, of being hyper for all the hormones, as opposied to hypo.. with the expection of testosterone that I did just respond to correctly, and even had symptoms of being low, origionally, but even that seems hve to have changed now, but still hoping they might bother to do some testing on that in th e next few weeks, if they don't... then they've really not a clue what they're doing
Woke up. felt fine. no aching. no muscle problems, no cramp, no headache, no brain fog, no cognition problems, fluid easy movmeents and walking, etc, spatial awareness working, able to process sound, etc/sensory stimuli.
have now takign the levo first thing, and have taken the prednisolone following food.
cramp all down my left arm, legs aching, knee in agony, muscles in legs and arms feeling weak, brain fog kicking in big time, typing slow and more inaccurate.... headache.... pains in my neck and shoulders. unable to process sound/sensory inputs correctly. and feeling so tired/fatigued. - that's all started since taking my meds.
