2legs - Hey, babe, take a walk on the wild side...

I retunred from the sunny wilderness of Suffolk. actually, it wasn't sunny... It snoed a bit, and very was very cold smiley - brr Neuropathy ain't fun when its cold smiley - injuredsmiley - bruised ouch. smiley - doh need betterer gloves smiley - grovel may try find some on Thursday smiley - grovel My expensive leather gloves are useless as are the generally warmer but cheaper leather ish ones I have off of the market so... dunno what else to try really, can't be anything too bulky, as I already can't feel a thing, and that would just be worse the thicker the gloves are I guess smiley - doh

got back Monday, met W at teh railstation, and got the bus to hospital, smiley - zen

went to PEt/CT and asked about the scan... yes I did need die to be injections, so we said we'd go up to vasuclar access to get the port accessed... at which point they mentioned there was an appointment for me, with them, already... which theyd not told me about smiley - doh
So went up to vascular access... got the butcher of Bagdad or something, took him three stabs as it were to gain entry to my chest smiley - groansmiley - shrug

went down... waited... a whilst, removed my err metalware etc, smiley - blush then went in for the scan, as per, and did the breathign in and out as directed, plus then had the die injected and didd the breathing things again smiley - yawn

Home late, so had a Jamacian from over the road, for dinner smiley - drool

Went did a bit of shopping today, and picked up some more drugs from the pharmacy smiley - evilgrinsmiley - doctor

one of the pharmasists made a nice comment about my moustache.... but, seemingly didn't notice I was in a skirt smiley - laughsmiley - weird

Nurses and receptionists in oncology at hospital, actually on Monday, seemed to notice the moustache more than the transvestism smiley - laugh or, rather be more shocked by the moustache than the dresses/skirt (W was showing them pics!) smiley - laugh

Oh, also whilst at hospital Monday, went to radiotherapy to ask about the radiotherapy clinic appointment, tomorrow, which they pointed out was an oncology clinic appointment... err... even though the letter says its radiotherapy... because.... "thats just how the letter is worded" smiley - huh

OK. so... smiley - drumroll why word it wrong and not right? honestly... I'm only trusting these people with my life you know. smiley - grr

OK. so they want bloods tomorrow, so... another needle thinggy of some kind, may just use a vein rather than the port, as the port was used on Monday... - why they don't say in the ltter that I do, have bloods, or not, is beyond me; I could have then hadve done the bloods for Thursday, on Monday, whilst I was there anyhow... smiley - grr <groaN. smiley - groan

Depending which consultant/doctor it is tomorrow, I can try talk to them about stuff, though if its the dangerous one, I'll just not sit down and leave the hospital instead. she's a liability.so hope its not her smiley - grr

then no hospital Thursday, but endocrinology clinic appointment Friday morning, with the Prof smiley - zensmiley - grovelsmiley - grovelsmiley - scientistsmiley - grovelsmiley - doctorsmiley - prof so much to talk about I fear then.... results of teh synaptin (sp?) test, how the testosterone was looking in my blood last time they measured, results of the MRI, whether I have permission to go grovel to oncology, to go write to vascular access, to pleed to have my port removed, and, possibly, to talk of the HGF injections, which we've not started yet smiley - groan good job I can't feel injections anymore smiley - shrug oh, and maybe talk of hydrocortisone dosage etc too smiley - laugh yeh... baby... I'm an endocrinologist wet dream smiley - laughsmiley - snork

was out today for a meal, tonight, with the ten pin bowling mob... our Christmas meal in effect... was ... OK I guess... smiley - zensmiley - zensmiley - ale

off next week to see Deep Purple in London. smiley - musicalnote

Oh.... and I accidentially bought a new dress whilst I was away smiley - blush which arrived today smiley - wowsmiley - drool a sort of purple, linen, and lined... and about knee length smiley - divasmiley - wow perfeck fit man innit smiley - coolsmiley - diva I think smiley - laugh well, I'd not like or feel comfy in much any tighter.... smiley - blushsmiley - diva
so... not a great deal happening really smiley - yawn just so smiley - weird feeling the cold... - I think the chemo, or something has rewired or just busted my internal thermostat smiley - laugh didn't sleep last night, just 'felt' so hot... but, I didn't 'feel' hot... so the 'feeling hot' is just a ... neruological portition err ... apportition err... apporition I think smiley - weird like my not being able to work out time anymore. that is ... just werid smiley - laugh - though oddly I've sort of half started being able to do mental maths, like adding up money and working out change I should be getting, and knowing that the £2.50 in my hand, is enough to pay for something costing, say £2.47 smiley - ermsmiley - weird

werid? weird? nah. the weird hasn't even started yet smiley - evilgrinsmiley - handcuffs
