T.B. Falsename ACE: [stercus venio] I have learned from my mistakes, and feel I could repeat them exactly. Started conversation Jul 27, 2008
Recently, just before easter, a new couple moved into our road. They had moved up from the greatest city in England, i.e. Birmingham. The woman has retired, but the man still works and so spends the week in Brum and the weekends up here. Yesterday, whilst walking down to the shop, I saw him walking his dog. Not having seen him for a few weeks I hailed him with a hearty "Yom a'roit cock?" which seemed to offend one of the mad old bints that abide in the village who then tried to berate and harangue me for my use of such language.
I'm still not sure what I said which was so offensive, I can only assume it was my use of the work cock, but that would be stupid...yes, that must be it, she's stupid.
