I find it very ironic that DNA, a devout atheist, had a distinctly Christian Memorial service. Does anyone know the rationale behind this irony?

Your funeral is normally designed by your family, rather than you, so maybe his family were christian, i'm not really sure.

His wife Jane is also an atheist. I believe it wasn't really a religious funeral as such, only a family ceremony round the cremation and memorial sessions.
