Vaughan Prefect, (Minister for Cheese Appreciation and Time Travel) Started conversation May 13, 2001
Hey Douglas, thanks to your wonderful books and radio shows, I missed out on heaps of revision during my early years at secondary school. The only books i have ever been forced to put down to clear the tears of laughter from my eyes. The Universe and characters you created have on many levels helped to shape the person I am and the quirky way with which I view the world. I am sorry that I never had the opportunity to thank you in person (and now it is too late).
"... 'That's a pity,' said Arthur. 'I'd like to hear what he had to say. Presumably he would know what the Question to the Ultimate Answer is. It's always bothered me that we never found out.'..."
By now I assume you are in deep discussions with Him regarding digital watches and small green pieces of paper. Were you right? Is the Answer 42, does He Apologise for the Inconvenience?
So long and thanks... just, Thanks.
