It was Douglas's influence that brought many good things to many peoples' lives... wherever he is now, I hope he's happy.

A great, great shame
Douglas was a literary, literate and "human" human being. That the rest of us could even aspire to this.
Douglas your creation brought pleasure to millions and was beautifully produced on Radio 4.
