Ohh this is different to when I was here last - anyone up for a natter about anything? Otherwise - with no freeview I am stuck here alone - utterly alone with Jade's eviction from Big Brother - great spirit of the downstairs loo give me strength,,,

Welcome back! So did you have an old old account on here which I guess you can't get into? theres a few people from way back still about in various places though they seem to all be in bed at the moment

Strangely enough - I thought I would have to have an entirely new account - which I was in the precess of setting up - then I was asked if I was
in fact JennySkinner (had to think about that for the time it took the kettle to boil - often find that's almost exactly how long it takes to answer the most fundamental questions about oneself) and then would I care to try and remember what password I had at that time (1000's of years ago). Oddly while the kettle was boiling a word that I haven't used for years popped into my head and - hey presto - that was it. SO actually no - for some reason I didn't have to have a new account. the last time I was here - it wasn't part of the BBC site - but DA was still around and I believe running - or at least involved - in the site?
I have to say, utterly confused about how to do everything and even get into a conversation, am I being dim or has Aunty Beeb made it hellish?

Well hellish might be a tadge strong.... Its pretty easy once you know e where stuff is and how its arrnaged.... Ask H2G2 is still the mainstay area, but now theres the 'forum' too for more serious discussions, misc chat, the games room, and all kinda things... WE've still got the post each fortnight I think it is now, and the edited guide of course

okays - starting to finf my way around, it is like going back to your old school - must find a bike shed somewhere Where is the forum - sorry - but just getting used to the menu's and such like...

I can't find it either! theres a list on the front page that links to ask, misc chat, games room, and the how do I, forums, but not the 'forum'.... I'll hunt it down!

Don't know why they ain't linking to it from the front page like the rest of the conversation forums.... maybe cause its one that was made origionally by a reasearcher rahter than by one of the bods who works on H2G2

Because it's scary?

The forum isn't scarey... maybe sometimes a bit heavier than the discusions elsewhere, but not always* and sometimes... just sometimes being serious is a wise move...
of course, sometimes, being serious is just so the wrong move that in the process of moveing to be serious we can by accident fall off whatever it is that us well balanced people are balancing on
