Me and time, we just don't seem to get along
CrazyOne Started conversation Jan 24, 2000
Well. It's 1am. I should be sleeping, as I'm set to get up at 5:30. Yikes. And I can't sleep. I'm hardly tired, which isn't too surprising considering I got up at 10 this morning, then slept from about 1-3 this afternoon. Heh, if only I could live my life on that sort of schedule.
I need about 4 more non-sleeping hours in my day. Without losing any sleep that is, no good saying to sleep less. That's what I'm going to do tonight, of course. On the times when I really must get up, I can do that. But everyday stuff has become such that it's not a case of must get up.
Time for change, change is good, yeah. There's another argument I have with time, and with others. I'm slow to make changes. At least by some measures. Time, always time there to get in the way. Isn't there a stop button around here somewhere?

or good fast food.
Time is fleeting, or so they say in Rocky Horror. Personally, give time a miss. Don't wear a watch, don't look at clocks, they aren't inmportant. Time is not the thing that keeps me going, i forgot it a long time ago.
ohh, bad pun.

and that works for you, beetle.
But you don't seem to have a problem getting things done and that's what the issue seems to be at the moment.

*nods somberly* I've seen it. It's a list.
Not to worry though—time is an illusion...
You know, I've never bought that. That there's no such thing as time, that it's something man invented. To me this seems frankly a stupid theory. Man invented time no more than man invented distance. We came up with the idea to measure and keep track of both, yes, but few people will venture to argue that space is an illusion, because that they can... see...
What was I supposed to be talking about? *shuffles through her stack of papers*

Thank you, erm... Miss Marie.
And now, for your further confusion, we will attempt to explain the true nature of the pickel-in-a-pouch...
