Hi Jack! (sorry, I can never resist that one!)

As someone who spent too much of his teenage years in Watford's hostelries, this entry immediately caught my attention

Just to check (it was a long time ago!) - this is the one at the top end of the high street, just by the pond, isn't it? That area has changed so much in the last decade, I think this pub's about the only one whose name I would still recognise.

So, turning to your article: first of all, I love the fact that you've given a flavour of the place - the music on the jukebox, the barman's odd habits. That's exactly what we're looking for. But I don't think you've done yourselves any favours by writing it in "bits" of sentences, and all the ... make it quite hard to read.

If you tried to structure it a bit more formally - for example, start with where it is, and why anyone would want to go there (eg if you were heading off to the local nightclubs afterwards), and move onto its eccentricities once you've established the subject - you'd have something more worth recommending. If you have any more to say about it, by all means add it - but if you think that's it, brevity is no barrier to acceptance.

If you do make some changes, please post back into this thread and I'll come over for another look

thanks for the advice...I'll take a look at what i can do.

ive updated roughly....it needs quite a bit of work i think....and i think its lost a bit in the update but glad to here your points on it now....
