Hey
I can't Thankyou enough, I love this site (i was once called a walking-talking encylopedia, i think it was supposed to be and insult). Where abouts are you on the face of this insignificant little blue-green planet? I live in Aus, Queensland, but born in England.
Hope to hear from you soon, and may your underbelly always be soft and firm.

Heya, you seem to be getting along fine here. Lots of great people to jam with. I recommend it to everybody.
Anyway, as per my journal... I am currently in Portland Oregon, USA. I'm from Seattle, Washington. Got out of the Navy 2 months ago and have been on a roadtrip ever since. Been thinking of going international. You recommend Austrailia? Always wanted to go there, but fear for my life. Seems like everything has the capability to kill you.
Poisonous, spiders, snakes, jellyfish, caterpillars, rocks, trees, air. Don't know about that.
Anyway, I take it you like Max Barry. What else are you into? Yeah, yeah, DNA and H2G2. Smartalek. What else?

AHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!! I very much dislike Kylie Minouge.
Well, i could have done the easy thing and gone to your page but a) I didn't think of it and b) I forgot. I'm allowed net acces at work, but surfing coomes second, so i'm often on and off as the day progresses.
well, I'm a big Bill Bryson fan, music tastes include Oasis, most techno, rap and Weird Al Yankovic (he's a genre in himself)
and as to Australia, as long as you know how to deal with the poisionous stuff (ie don't go near it) then you're fine. Swin between the flags, and look left AND right b4 crossing the road. i think that covers it. oh yeah, Buckle Up, it the Law.
May your veggie taste like chocolate.

...Who said anything about Kylie? And what do you have against her? She's like, 37, and can shake it better than most 19 year olds. *ah.
Anyway, work, eh? What do you do? ME? HAA! Nothing. It's not that I'm unemployed, I'm just taking a break from being a cog in a machine.
*SONAVA, you just jumped off again. I can't type fast enough. I was updating my space. It's up to Ver.4.0
Well, talk to you later...

That's my point. I'm 18, and i have the body of a forty year old.
I work in a modest ofice in the centre of town, i went to the local high school for the most part (i did a semester at a christian collage, boy that taught me a lot about 'forgiving christians')
I defered uni for a year to do this traineeship, and i'm at Griffith University next year for a Bachelor of Arts (and no, i have no idea what i'm majoring in yet).
I must just have perfect timing.
May you relax until the horizontal plane is your own.

Righty-O. Special K. ...that's the club name for an illegal drug, idnit? Anyway, hey, video killed the radio star! But I still am not too clear on if I brought up Kylie or not...?
So a B.A. Well, I've learned many a time not to question a major, so good luck. Supply and demand being what it is...
What else? Oh, yeah. Rap, eh? ok, name a rapper. Dare ya. I'm not saying that Austrailia DOESN'T have a flourishing ...hood, but all I know of music from down under are those digeredoo(?) thingys and Men Without Hats. Oh, wait, they did The Safety Dance. Thinking of that Weird Al parody. Umm, who was it, ah. Men At Work! Down Under! great song. Talkin' 'bout Vegimite sandwiches, and...stuff... But, hey, You can listen to whatever you want to. And eat purple/brown wallpaper paste if you want to...
Anyway, gotta go. Actually I don't. I do feel quite sober though...might have to head to Denny's. Then find some beer. Perhaps a Fosters...

Hey NC-
Blow it out of an orifice! Yes, Australia is the biggest supplier of Aboriginal music (well, duh) but we do have a lot of other stuff to offer, Midnight Oil, Killing Heidi, and while i'm not a fan of Cold Chisel, they have been a very influential aussie band. I guess your slanted view comes from only watching the Sydney Olympics.
You brought up Kylie.
anyhoo, just to show my cultural knowledge (or lack of) I think Denny's is a bar, pity you went for the crappy beer tho (i'm a VB drinker)
May your wallpaper taste nicer than mine did.

Noo. Denny's is a 24 hour restaurant, where you can order anything, but no one ever gets anything but the breakfast menus. The food costs too much, and is somewhat substandard. The buildings are all the same and have no personality, but they are a staple of the late highschool/ college nightowl crowd.
I guess we both have a lot to learn of each other's ways of life.
You saying Foster's ISN'T Austrailian for beer? What's VB? Lots of people over here like fosters, the can is so much bigger than other beers; makes you feel like a ten year old... good times.
...and I didn't even watch the Sydney Olympics, and I said nothing of Kylie as far as I know.
Whatever. Be good. At least make 'em think so.
