Hello Elektra and Peanut! Elektra, thank you very much, that was a delightful article, I am so happy that the kingfishers are making a comeback even in the heart of the city! I really do hope that they can keep on cleaning up the waters so that even more wildlife can flourish.
Thanks for the gannets Peanut! Lovely photos, dinosaurian indeed! Elektra, gannets hit the water at speeds of up to 90 miles an hour! They have very strong skulls and 'airbags' (actual air sacs around their necks and shoulders) to absorb the impact.
