New discovery of another herbivore dinosaur in the US. The skull anyway. I hope you read DG's screed on Dinosaurs, I think it was in the Daydreamers thread or a journal entry.

Hi Elektra! Thanks for that big-nosed horn face. I've read about it elsewhere, I read Scott Sampson's blog 'The Whirlpool of Life' and Brian Switek's blog 'Laelaps' where lots of these things are discussed. Yes I read that piece of Dmitris! You tell him I vouch for the dinosaurs. And the thing with them is, they were much weirder and more wonderful than scientists ever thought and the more we learn about them the more we realise how little we know. There were many that were covered in feathers and probably had bright colours, there were many who took care of their babies, they had very weird metabolisms and patterns of growth. And they're still relevant - because what they tell us is that there are so many more possibilities for what living things could be like than the things we see around us today. What lives today is just a tiny drop in the bucket of the diversity of things that did live on this Planet so far, and in the future - IF we don't wreck everything - there might be so many more even weirder things, because Life allows all sorts of weirdness to exist - there are so many different viable 'ways' of being!
