A Conversation for Mexico's drinking water

This is an incredible entry, especially for your first one. It's well-written, straightforward, and quite useful for the world traveller to know.
I only have two small points to bring up:
1) I thought that the drinking water in Mexico (or anywhere) didn't affect the actual inhabitants of Mexico because they have been drinking it all their lives and have therefore built up a natural immunity to its effects. The... consequences... of drinking the water (again, I think) only affect Americans or Europeans who are used to clean, filtered and treated water out of the tap and have no built-up tolerance to the organisms in the water in Mexico. That's why it's called "Montezuma's Revenge:" his peculiar payback to foreign "invaders" of Mexico for his deposition, imprisonment, and death at the hands of Cortez.
2) Something that people often forget is that ICE is made from tapwater. They are very careful to only drink bottled water and take other precautions, but they might order a soda with ice, which will melt while they drink it, and they'll get sick anyway. Also, travellers often forget that brushing their teeth with tapwater is just as dangerous as drinking it; they are usually advised to use bottled water for this, also. You might want to point these two things out under "Prevention."
Regardless, this is most impressive, and I definitely think you should submit it for Peer Review. I mean, the inherent purpose of the Guide is to provide advice for travellers on the go, and what advice could be more appropriate than this ?

Oooh! Thank you! Some very good points there. I will edit it now to add thowse things plus make it apply to the traveller to mexico rather than the inhabitants of mexico. I never thought of the tolerance part. And I will include the things you mentioned in the precautions part! Thank you for your thoughts

Good stuff, maybe that's why they all drink tequila.
Is this restricted to Mexico? I don't recall brushing my teeth in Spain being terribly pleasant
Key: Complain about this post
