I think that this should be edited because there is nothing on red spotted newts and their cool and if we don't have them in the edited giude then its not much of a guide.
I hope I did this right... this is my time. If I made a mistake I'm sorry.

Hi Mat
This looks promising, but who do you think you're calling 'slimy'?
To get recommended it will need to be written in the third person (you shouldn't use "I").
It would look better with proper headings, for which you need to convert it to GuideML. For instructions look at The GuideML Clinic: http://www.h2g2.com/A187229
Do they hibernate, are the males and females identical, do they lay eggs or give birth to live young, do they take care of their young or leave them to fend for themselves, how old are they when they start breeding, do they perform any mating rituals, do they have any predators, etc. Sorry to be so nosey, but I want to know.

An intoduction should place them in taxonomy. The reader needs to know what family we're talking about. (just in case we're related)
What do they eat and who eats them? This helps you understand where they live and who they're hiding from when they hide.
And everybody's interested sex-life and reproduction.

Enjoyable article - does your knowledge extend to other members of the newt family (European crested, palmate, etc)? This article will stand on its own - you might get some fun out of researching some of the other newts for an article!
I don't remember salmanders being slimy, at least the ones that I have encountered in Europe, but it was a long time ago and my memory may be playing up.
Don't worry too much about headings, Guide ML or things like that - the subeditors will sort that out for you. Also don't get too hung up on the detail of grammar - again the subs will sort much of that out.
Keep up the good work!

ok cool thanks a lot guys. I'll get you that sex info. want any newt porno pics to go along with it? JK
And I don't know as much about other newts. I know lots about these guys cause I see them whenever I'm hiking in the Adirondacks and I think their cool.

Hello,
Yes, please let us know when the updates are done, since it's very promising, but we'd like to see what changes are in store for the future, before it's accepted into the edited guide.
Yours,
Jake

Hello,
That's sad. Well, I guess we'll wait a few days (just to see) and then perhaps recommend it for writing workshop, if other people are perhaps willing to contribute to this entry.
Yours,
Jake

Hey, Jake -- if you want to recommend this one to be moved to the Writing Workshop, I'd second you on it.

Editorial Note: This Conversation has been moved to the new 'Flea Market' Forum.
This is where we move any Peer Review, Writing Workshop or Alternative Writing Workshop Conversations where the original author has *not* posted to h2g2 for three months. This prevents the active Review Forums from clogging up with dormant entries, but in the Flea Market they can be picked up by others and polished off.
