Make Mine Chocolate! 35,000 buns in rescue
parsnipbun Started conversation Apr 10, 2009
Every Easter families give in to 'pester power' and go and buy a fluffy bunny at a local pet store or garden centre. A few months later these poor rabbits end up unwanted and either abandoned or in rescue homes - all overflowing with rabbits already. There are an estimated 35,000 rabbits passing through the rescue system every year - many do not find new homes. Now a new campaign backed by the RSPCA and Blue Cross has been set up to STOP impulse buying of rabbits. Its called "Make Mine Chocolate' and encourages people to buy a chocolate bunny or egg instead - or a fluffy toy bunny. Rabbits can live up to 12 years and are as exensive as dogs and cats, needing vaccinations, neutering, dental checks etc. Help save the next 35,000 Easter buns from a miserable life and Make YOURS Chocolate! Hop over and see the website at MakeMineChocolate.co.uk and spread the word!!

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
