Although this is a duplicate (sort of) message, it's not spam... I just haven't quite figured out where to put it, since the moderation helpdesk seems to be closed. The original is here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/classic/F63593?thread=7927843 And I quote: "I have a perfectly innocent post sitting in another tab waiting to post, but keep getting this message: " This message has been blocked as it contains a word which other users may find offensive. Please edit your message and post it again." I have studied and studied it, and cannot figure for the life of me what word/phrase is causing this. There are no swear words, no URLs, no email addresses, no obscure symbols -- nothing that should trigger a complaint. Obviously it would be useless to try posting the content here, but I have sent off an email to [email protected] (which so far hasn't bounced) with the complete text, asking for advice on what word is causing the problem. If there are any mods out there reading this, please check the mailbox and reply." Thank you. We now return you to your regularly scheduled rants.

You have probably used one of the small number of innocent words which they've included in it, to keep us on our toes.
Did you mention earmuffs, by any chance? Just a thought.

which they've included in the profanity filter, I meant
of course.

No earmuffs. It would have been quite hard to say what I said without the words I used, but if I knew what word was triggering the filter, I could modify it -- with numbers if necessary.
You don't happen to have access to that mailbox, do you? Is it still in working order? Or do you know?

And I replied to your reply, since I don't think the advice is applicable. (You'll see why.)
