I can be right in the middle of a forum and suddenly it jumps to
"Server Busy" or I can be editing an article and when I hit update it replies "Server Busy"
Has traffic really increased that much lately on hootoo?

I had that all afternoon/evening yesterday. When trying to open a page, it even sometimes showed the 'interact with the BBC' in the tab, then it would open the page OK.
