Hi, i will ask this over on the annoucement thread but i have been unable to log in all week since the changeover.

I've been able to get in to h2g2 for 8 months fine, but then as soon as the changeover occured i have been unable to "find" the website - i go to h2g2.
Press log in
and the webpage cannot be found, have gone to library and it works here, but i would like to know how to fix it please.

Hi there, could you let me know a bit more info on what browser you are using

Can you get to this page?
https://id.bbc.co.uk/users/login

if you can, could you try and log in and then go to www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2

Hi, thanks for replying.

Unfortunatly i'm not at school (unfortunataly in that i cant try to fix this problem), for a week, so i can't check what i can and cant fix.

However i will note down this info, and try it when i get back, i'll also try and find out the browser info.

Hi, have just been able to get back in, despite it not working most of the time here.
I appear to just be on IE6, nothing particurlarly special.

Still not able to get on most of the time, and tehres nothing special about now on this server

1 March 2010 Noon Eastern Standard Time

It took three tries to get back in.

It happened to me, too, 40 minutes ago. I was baffled, hit the backspace and was shown online, so I hadn't accidentally logged out. Tried to post, was told I had to sign in. Hit backspace, pressed refresh - and bingo. The text was gone but I had copied it after first failure, so no harm done. smiley - geek

Oh, and I know I should probably post it to the hub, but since everybody loses their name tag, I steer clear of other BBC sites. smiley - erm

HAs anything changed to the way spam filters notice the login page - they never minded the old one, but the times that it can't be found mostly match up with the slow-network times here.

However:
SOmetimes it is still blocked even in free time.
Even more importantly it isn't "blocked" per se - it can't be found, and i haven't had that problem with any other site.
Why is this bbc page doing this? Do we know, all other bbc pages seem to be fine.
