Coronation Street Junkies

My In-laws, wife and mother are all Coronation Street addicts and I think it's rubbing off on me? I'm starting to know the characters' names and can even understand some of the relationships. Is this dangerous?
It's on the CBC every weekday, then all 5 shows are repeated on Sunday, in case you missed one. Is it still "big" in England or is everybody sick to death of it?

Unfortunatly it is still big over here But I got it banned from our house Hee, she said if I made her a cup of tea she would never watch it again And I did Beware, the next is Eastenders, the slope is slippery

Hee, it was cruel to have it on, in the first place She voluntarily gave up Eastenders, after Bankaaaaa's baby died - so it is only Neighbours left now, and half the week she is home at lunch, to see it then (and even when I have to watch it, it is a pretty cheery soap, so it is not so bad - though even she wants to see the next series of Stargate, when it comes on at 5 on Sky1 It frees up, like, 4 or 5 hours a week, more time to do allsorts of different things Brill

From the comedy by Ancient Greek author Aristophanes about the women who stop their men going off to war by going on strike. The original make love not war

I don't get it. Please tell me the "actress & the darts player" story...
I'd tell you one but, if I get so many (unsolicited) lame jokes e-mailed to me, you'd probably hate me...
I also don't get the references to Greek literature but I yam what I yam and it jist don't matter, man
