Coronation Street Junkies

Post 1

Mick & Hoppa Canuck

My In-laws, wife and mother are all Coronation Street addicts and I think it's rubbing off on me? I'm starting to know the characters' names and can even understand some of the relationships. Is this dangerous?
It's on the CBC every weekday, then all 5 shows are repeated on Sunday, in case you missed one. Is it still "big" in England or is everybody sick to death of it?

Hee, it was cruel to have it on, in the first place smiley - smiley She voluntarily gave up Eastenders, after Bankaaaaa's baby died - so it is only Neighbours left now, and half the week she is home at lunch, to see it then (and even when I have to watch it, it is a pretty cheery soap, so it is not so bad - though even she wants to see the next series of Stargate, when it comes on at 5 on Sky1 smiley - smiley It frees up, like, 4 or 5 hours a week, more time to do allsorts of different things smiley - smiley Brill smiley - smiley

I don't get it. Please tell me the "actress & the darts player" story...
I'd tell you one but, if I get so many (unsolicited) lame jokes e-mailed to me, you'd probably hate me...
I also don't get the references to Greek literature but I yam what I yam and it jist don't matter, man
