Animated Hitchiker's Guide?
sickboy Started conversation Jun 26, 2000
Anyone interested in making an animated hitchikers guide to the galaxy using macromedia flash and director? or anyone got any ideas they wish to express in animation. I've got animators block at the moment, the same disease that blights writers and so need some ideas. No matter how stupid... let your imagination run wild
(i've got a muzzle and tranquilizer darts at the ready)
so post some stuff, so that i can get rich off your ideas

Have you tried the obvious? You know, use the description of the actual Hitchiker's Guide from the books and work from there. Watch the old HHG television series for ideas. You could have buttons that materialize when appropriate and press inwards when chosen, text that scrolls satisfyingly across the screen, and mildly mesmerizing special effects when moving from one area of the guide to another. Put this all within a visual representation of a shiny metallic handheld computer, and there you go.
It's just an idea.
