A long, long time ago before h2g2 was run by the BBC, I had an account here. The entries made by the account are still there, but I've long forgotten the login details for the account (I guess they probably no longer exist since you now need a BBC login). Is it possible to either a) link my new account to the old account, or b) remove the old account and all of it's entries? One of the entries in particular is not very pleasant about someone I went to college with, and now a Google search for his name returns that entry... which he found and was obviously upset about. I very much regret making the entry and would like to remove it...

Hi Keanei..
Try getting in touch with the Italics at h2g2.support AT bbc.co.uk
Changing AT to @ this is to stop spamming of the address..
It is very unlikely you will be reunited with your old account, but if you can give a many details as possible, there is a chance the Tower can alter or delete part of your entry that upset your friend..
lil xx

The contribution you're worried about can be brought to the attention of the Moderators if you click the relevant link at the bottom of the page - or, if it's actually a posting, click the complain button next to the specific entry. Mention that it has caused offence and that the post should be removed.
Welcome back, by the way. If you drop a line to the email address Lil mentioned, with the Researcher number of your old account, we'll be able to discuss that problem offsite.
