YAY!!! I have learned SOOO MUCH!!!

This is an EXCELLENT ARTICLE!!!
I'm no religion, really... but if I declared a religion, it'd either be Wicca or Buddhism(both quite similar)-- I COMPLETELY agree with the Wiccan Rede(Rule of Three), AND reincarnation!!! I respect Celtic and other gods, and think them fascinating, but I personally see them as not much more than an inspiration, which I suppose gives them enough force on their own... Just can't see myself worshipping them...
And I love Buddhist ideals regarding how to cope with life. "Pain is inevitable but suffering is optional".
This is a fantastic article-- I especially like learning about how the Christians robbed ideas from others... upset about THEM building over ancient religious sites!!! POOP!!!
I remember learning something in school about how the colors red and green for Christmas were Pagan colors.... is that right!??
And is there more to be said about nature in this article!?? The signifigance of Winter Solstice is mentioned, but we're missing out on the Equinoxes and Summer Solstice...
Also... can you get into HALLOWEEN a little!??
YAY!!! I have learned SOOO MUCH!!!

[sea] as you MIGHT notice, i have added a section on wiccan sabbats. i will be describing them in depth, including samhain (halloween). thanks for the suggestion, and i'm glad you enjoyed the article!!!

Dragonfly, I agree with you from the bottom of my heart!!!!!
Fascinating entry about a fascinating topic!!!!
I have no "real" religion too. I have never been baptized. Most parents have their children baptized soon after birth but my parents decided to to let me decide myself if I want to or not. And today I'm even a little proud about not being a christian.
I never could identify with christianity but I think I could identify with the wiccan religion.
GREAT article!!!

I agree with Aurora back... I'm a little proud that I'm not Christian, but I do believe in a greater power, however... but I also believe in fate and reincarnation...

[sea] *grin* even though i was raised a catholic, i was always wiccan. my beliefs have always been the same.... i just thought it was "weird" of me to disagree with my religion (catholicism) and kept my mouth shut.
boy, am i glad i found wicca. i'm pretty sure it saved my sanity.

Maybe it's taking so long because they had so many good to say about you that the words weighed down the paper...
Once your terror over waiting subsides, doll, mine will be MOUNTING....

lol.
you're learning to drive? does that make you 16, or is the law different where you live? (i've had my license for 6 months now, and i've been driving for a year and 6 months)
watch out for the driver's test... they seem to get their jollies out of flunking us... *grin* but i'm sure you'll do better than i did. it took me 3 tries to finally get my license!

I am actually going to be 21 on 2/22...
I NEED TO GET THIS LICENSE, in this one shot...
I have been very scared about driving before... it's just ridiculous now... I'm getting over it!!! YAY!!!
This is my third permit(I'm in the US)... I don't know if I will be allowed another one... I do not PLAN on another license... I also plan on taking my test at an easy-cheesy location...

soeasilyamused, or sea Posted Jan 7, 2001
aaah, yes. a good idea. it's kind of necessary to drive in the US... unless you're on the east coast. especially in new york city.

You're sooo often considered weird for not knowing how to drive in the US...
We'll accept so many different things... but... not knowing how to drive is abnormal...
Go figure!!!
my opinion, and for more info...

ok so i'm not a religious person either, but the wiccan religion is sooo amazing. i have taken great interest over the oast 6 months, and always wear a pentacle. although i don't not cast spells of any importance, this is mainoly because i feel as though i would be 'dabbling'. in england, it is very difficult to get hold on info, and to find other groups interested. it seems that in this area if you believe, you believe alone...

That's sad... but.. you don't have to have a coven to be a Pagan...
I am just tired of the stigma witches receive!!!
About a week ago, I started talking about Harry Potter to a co-worker, and she declared the books to be Satanic...
"It's about witches so it's Satanic, don't you agree!??"
"Oh.. don't get me started. Christianity invented Satan, and Wicca, the witch's religion, was around centuries before Christianity..."
It wasn't pretty, but I was well-armed!!!
Keep your head up, playgirl... it's great that you are doing your own exploration!!! Everyone should determine for themselves what belief systems they should follow!!!
