Hi there!

Just thought I'd pop in and say hello. Normally the ACEs (Assistant Community Editors) welcome new researchers by clicking on the 'Who's Online' button and seeing who has joined this week, but they were probably all recovering from Christmas last week smiley - winkeye , and now your name no longer has a 'new this week' bit attached.

What sci-fi smiley - rocket do you like? I think the only thing I've read that really qualifies in that genre is Arthur C. Clarke.

How are you finding h2g2, then? You can start writing articles yourself, of course. This can be done in plain text, using html, or the special GuideML language here. This is very similar to html and involves minimal programming. You can find out about GuideML at the GuideML Clinic, http://www.h2g2.com/A187229 .

If you have any particular questions, you can ask me or (for more specific answers) the ACEs (got to http://www.h2g2.com/ACES for a list of their names) or the Gurus at http://www.h2g2.com/A395688 .

Other than this, you've obviously started using the search facility to find articles you want to comment on. You'll find even more about what h2g2 can do for you and vice-versa in Seven of Nine's great h2g2 links page at http://www.h2g2.com/A464005 .

And if you want to know about the Smileys you'll see all over the place, have a look at http://www.h2g2.com/A155909

Happy hitchhiking!

smiley - wow

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
