A Conversation for WCW Wrestling

I miss WCW. I disagree that WCW is inferior (well was) to the WWF/E. I love wrestling, and McMahons lot is the only promotion I hate! Its boring, repetitive, and crap.

Have u seen these Backyard Wrestling Websites!!! There are nuts!!!
Its quite clear to me that Extreme was the way to go!!! This seems far more popular than the tedious, mind numbing poo that WWE produces.
If you havent already, have a look at BCW (backward Championship wrestling), BWF (backyard Wrestling Federation) and BCW (you work it out!!!)
I also found a living room wrestling federation, a trampoline wrestling federation and various others.
I cant condone their actions....................... well maybe i can, some of their moves are superb for people with no training. Although they should.nt try it at home!!!

Are any of you guys willing to update this entry on WCW:

It could use some additional research, and some creative editing, but might get through peer review and end up on the front page.

Iy's up to you. I saw the conversation thread and realized that the artilce was in the Flea Market. The consensus was originally that if the WCW article included links to the other wrestling articles, and was itself different from those other articles, then it could be written for the front page.
Have you rescued anything from the Flea Market before?
Friar, only here to help

I haven't actually.
What it is, is that coincidently, I have been reading a lot on the history of WCW recently, and I think I would enjoy writing about it.

OK so the protocol for "rescuing" and entry from Flea Market is this: 1) Contact the author of the original work in their personal space or in the entry and let them know you're planning on finishing the work. Here's Bilge's page (don't hold your breath for a reply Bilge hasn't logged on since 2001): http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/classic/U161316 2) Copy the article by clicking here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/test496587 Then cut and paste the stuff in the Text box into your "new" article. The article will be in GuideML, so don't freak out if you haven't used it before or any other HTML language, it's really easy! Here's the GuideML clinic page: http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/classic/A187229 I know most of the basic ML commands, so I'll be able to help you if you get stuck, but the GuideML clinic and the folks who read the posts to it are really the best at helping. 3) Edit the entry and add material as you see fit. 4) Before you update the work be sure to add the original author as an additional author in the area below the "Text" box. Remember: Bilge is "U161316". 5) When you're ready submit it to the appropriate forum, either Peer Review, or Writing Workshop. Or let me know and I can take a previewed look at it. . . it's up to you of course. The Peer Review process can take a while and you'll get lots of feedback (hopefully!), so be prepared. When the article was first submitted there was a pretty decent discussion about it, you can check that out by clicking: http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/classic/F74125?thread=94831 Anyway, I think this is a great way to start "contributing' to the guide. The subject is something you can research, AND have prior knowledge of, and enjoy. So the material is great. Plus, the article already has a foundation laid, so you're really refining and adding to it. And, you've got a Scout (me) to answer any questions along the way. Have fun! Just before I get totally into writing the article, I have typed out a couple of sample paragraphs. Would you take a couple of minutes out just to have a quick look at it to make sure I'm doing the right thing.
Basically, my additions and alterations are the history, and the NWA.

So far so good, but three points:
1) Cut the and tags.
2) The part that says: INTRO, change. Change the style by using Headers and subheaders like this:
This is a Header
This is a subheader
The HEADER appears in its own line with graphics, the SUBHEADER is bolder.
Also you should change the wording. It's liek finishing a school paper by writing, "In conclusion" it's just a little hacky. Be more descriptive.
3) The link to C4 is lost. I don't know what that was supposed to be a link to, but it's gone, baby, gone. To vreate links use the link tag:
to a h2g2 site
What you want the hypertext to say
to an outside website:
hypertext
Search h2g2 for wrestling links, and definately link to the WCW official site, or other organizations you mention (WWE e.g.). It's a paing writing the code, but the article looks much cooler when you create the links!

ps. don't forget to add Bilge as an author.
pps. Feel free to hack and slash the original prose (in some spots t could use better wording)
