This entry, wriiten by me, states the facts on Santa Claus' existence, taken from scientific evidence. Some of the evidence is halarious, but should stay out of reach of small children.

What a massively hilarious article! This must be in the Guide,

but not just yet.

The article had many spelling errors and typos. Still, the subs will take them out as they go.

There is much to be said for PARAGRAPHS and HEADERS.

The style of writing is very associative, meaning that you assume many things you know, are things the readers knows as well.
What is the QE2? Some big vehicle, yes, but what exactly?
This is just an example. ANother: prezzies. Presents! It's okay to use 'kids' in stead of 'children' but Prezzies? Too native-english IMHO.

There is much to be done with regards to personal-style writing (too much of it), and formatting (not enough in it), to sum it up.

But the content is fantastic! Keep going!

no offense, dears, but how would you feel if some innocent child came onto this site and found this entry?

he or she would see a report that SEEMS like scientific proof of the nonexistance of santa claus, and promptly be traumatized.

i'd hate to be the parent of that poor child.

in short, i'd just like to point out that the internet is open to EVERYONE, and anything you post on it can be seen by anyone who logs on. while it might feel nice to prove something that, incidentally, everyone over the age of 10 already knows, you could inadvertently ruin the christmases of billions of children worldwide- all because they know how to use the internet.

i would recommend serious thought as to whether having this article on the internet is a good idea.

Poopycook!

I refer you to the movie "The Santa Clause" where the psychiatrist boyfriend of some kids mother tries to convince the kid Santa doesn't exist, by telling him about these same things.
The kid remains unfazed and rock hard in his belief in Santa, and the shrink boyfriend does no harm.

What I'm getting at is that the article can be written in a style that doesn't state Santa's non-existence in such a blunt manner.

Ho ho ho!

there is one big difference between that movie and real life:

THE KID IN THE MOVIE "MET" SANTA, AND THAT'S WHY HE BELIEVED.

naturally, this will never happen in real life. but i agree on the part about not being so blunt.

I'd like to advertise my entry on Santa Theories here... :) workshop thread: http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/F57153?thread=80375 entry: http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/A535853 Incidentally, I have been informed that the deletion was a copyright thingy, just so's you know. And do people *really* get traumatised by finding that Santa doesn't exist? Sheesh, we're breeding a nation of psychotics, judging on the way that they all find out sooner or later...
