It is very nice to meet you Amy. I am Moatas (which is sometimes a
state of mind than being) I thank you for that wonderful info page.
And if I'm ever near Lancaster, I'll give you a call. All I know about that area is that it is the home of the Conestoga wagon. I researched the name when I was writing a short story.
Other than that, only chocolate comes to mind, sorry. I try to believe its not my fault, public education and all.
I hope to see you around the 'Guide' some time. Ciao

Sorry it took me so long to see this... !
I don't know much about Lancaster myself... lots of colonial history, but then I've never been a history buff. And yes, chocolate. In fact, there are three chocolate factories all within an hour or so of each other in that area: M&M/Mars, Hersheys, and and Wilburs. Yum! I live/d not too far away from the Little Conestoga and even more not too far away (yes, that's what I mean) from the actual Conestoga.
I'm actually in Virginia at college at the moment...

An english major, impressive. You know, even though I was born and raised in the US, I still speak it like a second language. Perhaps in the future we can join forces and write the great american novel, get the movie rights and points. America, I love this country! Take it easy, your friend and mine, Moatas

Hey,hey! Its close to the beginning of a new year and I just wanted to see how college was treating you. When I went to the Jr. College (don't giggle, its rude) things were....were...well, they were ok. Grand Rapids (Mich) has several colleges and Jr. colleges in and around it. I took a couple of 'core' courses there and a couple of 'Intro' classes. I wasn't sure what I wanted to be when I grew up. Later I learned that men may get older, but we don't grow up. (important info for any female)
I did learn a few things, at least, that's all I remember at the moment. But most importantly, I met the woman who became my wife there. (Student Unions are great places to pick up dates) Remember, we're writing that novel together later.Well continued good luck. Your friend and Mine, Moatas

College is treating me kindly so far... good people, good grades, nice profs. I'm at home on Christmas break... home for the first time in 4 months.
I'll take that info about men never growing up to heart...
Happy New Year

Greetings Amy of PA, USA;
How have you been these last two years? When ever I thought about re-visiting the 'Guide', you were on the top five things I like about it. I hope you don't take as long as me to answer. I was taking an ego trip, but in the opposite manner. I'm hoping that college is going well for you. From our communiques, I believe you to be an intelligent person.
I see now that Heinz is located in good old PA. Very industrialized, I like that in a state. Here in Michigan, one of the actual places God blessed..in person, its been a good summer. A couple of hot days, of course, but most have been mild and even cool. For almost a year now, I have been trying to start a little home-based mail-order business. I figure maybe I can make a job for myself and it keeps me out of trouble. I'm still working on that great American novel, but its taken the form of a series of short stories. If it worked for Ann MacCaffery, it will work for me.
All my best;
Moatas
