Hello Red Dog, another of my exceedingly rare entrances to h2g2...Do you remember, a long time ago, you gave me a brief outline of a number of major wars over the last century? well, at school recently I've been filling in that list a bit, but always I think back to, ah, that's right, I remember what someone strange on the internet told me... So thankyou

Hey RedDog, I seem to remember I emailed you about hairdressers and other important information, and you emailed back, but now my stupid account deleted the emails () so I can't remember if I actually sent you the hairdresser information or not! Judging by your hairdresser page I'd say not, would you like it again?

Hi Niwt, I don't recall getting it but my service provider went through some trouble a while back so it may have not been a fault at your end. If you send it again I will make sure it goes up

I know you got at least one, because you replied (and told me your new address), but it could be that the actual hairdresser email never arrived, or that I never sent it.

Here again! I like cherry blossoms, they smell absolutely delightful. How are you going? (not you Diz, you're FAR too common ) I had the foulest history exam in the world. Horrendous. But oh well. You made a very positive impression. I had a good history teacher recently, which was nice I started reading The God of Small Things yesterday, have you read it?

Hiya ...... I'm hoping you persevere with History as I've got a lot from it over the years - not least of which is that wherever you go you know something about what made that place and it's peoples.
I'm good if a little busy at work. Just got back from London where I was fortunate enough to dine at the House of Commons with our local MP. I made it into the chamber and stood at the despatch boxes and everything.
Haven't read The God of Small Things - the closest I can get is "Small Gods" by Terry Prachett which I would recommend.

Slightly different style I have also read Small Gods. It's not one of my favourite Terry Pratchett's, though I have heard such good things about it I think I ought to try it again.
History is going delightfully, apart from a massive looming assignment which I haven't begun...I am working on the assumption that everything seems to get done, in the end, so presumably this will too.
School is grand, actually. I love it. There are a thousand and one things to tell, only here is rather public, don't you think? I shall just say that I have made LOTS of new friends recently, and it was heaps of fun, and it's been good keeping up with them. I love becoming part of a new world, with all the politics and tribulations and loyalties that such a situation entails. Endlessly amusing, especially if you can, at times, keep yourself detached enough to have a good laugh at it.
I recently made the first post I had made in AGES. The fact that I have returned the next day may or may not hint at greater things to come. I was so proud of myself for not discovering Solitaire on our new operating system, but I may have replaced that procrastinatory device with this darling little thing again...we'll see how it goes.
After having read 81 pages of "Gladrags and Handbags" (Maggie Alderson) in assorted bookshops, I finally borrowed a copy of it from the library today, and am keeping it safe for when I finally pen the opening words of an essay I am yet to start.
I hope you are well, and that things are proceeding delightfully.
