A Conversation for Talking Point: Netiquette
Role-playing threads

I'm participating in several adventures involving the universe on or around a planet called the World of H2G2. These are Role-Playing Threads, where we imagine things to happen, and conversation is mostly secondary.
In Role-Playing Threads, or even when there's a simple "A does X" you must to obey the laws of Continuity. Here's some simple but effective things to go by. I'll expand them later.
1.Account for everything logically.
2.Don't do something that contradicts a previous post.
3.Don't control another person's character(s).
4.When you fire a weapon, whether or not it hits is up to the target.
5.If you're the target, don't always make it miss.
6.Don't kill off other people's characters.
7.Special rules about specific locations MUST be obeyed.
8.Let other people interact with your creations.
For example, if you're in the Aroma Cafe, and you break a window, the proprietors will have to deal with the insurance, repairing, expenes, etc. and you might have to be arrested for vandalism.
