These are a very interesting group, and I had come across them when researching Arts and Crafts movements. I think there is something of a debt to Wm Morris, Ruskin etc. which is not mentioned here. Also, more than a little influence later from McIntosh. I would like to know lots more about them, but I can't get on very well with the website, too evangelical for me, as I remember. Didn't trust it. But your article will make me go back & try again.

The Roycrofters were influenced by Morris and Ruskin, espeicially in their early days, though many, including Morris's family, were horrified at the thought. The Roycrofters popularized the Arts & Crafts style - they're not as good as Morris or Stickley, but they were affordable and readily available.
Peace,
Stephen
