h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

*Michelle enters room 003 to prepare it for (checking the list) NYCstudent. She doesn't know as much about him as she does about the first two guests she checked in. But he seems sweet enough, for someone from New York City.

The door to this room is in the south east corner. Looking in, one notices that the room is predominantly blue, with a yellow bed and yellow moulding. Surely the decorator of these rooms lacks some taste. A bookshelf of predominantly comic books lines the north wall. The bed is on the east wall, next to a nightstand (wich contains the obligatory Gideon's Bible). Against the west wall is a writting desk with Illusion Hall stationary, blotting paper, and a quill pen with ink. In the northwest corner is a door leading to a bathroom which he shares with his next door neighbor, Afgncaap5. On the south wall is a couch. Above the bed is a painting of a man holding a wrench. Why? Who knows.*

*Michelle re-enters, having left earlier. She lays a more casual set of clothes, in NYC's size, on the bed. They are exactly what NYC would have hoped for, and as such, he will describe them if needs be.*

*Hmm... Calvin & Hobbes... Tintin, from Herge... nice selection! But, I'll have you know that I DO read actual books. Rarely, but it happens...*

*Nice 'Guy with Wrench' painting, though; I like the political statement of the proletariate's role in the advancement of nations... or something of the sort*

*NYC enters the room, changes into a dark green long sleeve shirt and tan pants. he makes sure the shirt is untucked and the sleeves are rolled up before he exits. right before he leaves, he takes a look at the painting*

hmm... that looks familiar...

*NYC returns to his room, decides there's nothing too interesting to look at besides maybe the books in the bookcase, and start flipping through them*

*upon picking up a seemingly out of place "Encyclopedia Intergalactica, Hardbound Edition" the book case slides back, revealing a dark passage beyond. It is pitch black.*

*NYC, intrigued, flips out a flashlight from his pocket (which, in most countries, probably would be considered a weapon, but apparently not here), and enters. the bookcase closes behind him*

{this is a maze of twisty little passages, all alike. However, there IS a bit of noise coming from the east}

*NYC follows the light*

*oops, err... noise... whatever, he heads eastward*

*You are standing in front of a brick wall with a lever on one side*

*NYC pulls the lever, but who was the least bit surprised?*

[can we just say that if there are any more passages, buttons, levers and other stuff needed for me to give the go-ahead, that NYC simply complies, to speed up this tedious exchange?]

[Sounds like a plan]

*The wall in front of you turns and the ground beneath your feet moves. You find yourself standing in the sitting room, about where the fireplace used to be (the lever, too is on this side of the wall)*

*NYC runs into his room, picks out the encyclopedia again, and runs another route through the maze*

*I hope you don't get lost easily. There are only two people still in this game who I think would have an adventurer's chance in this Zorking maze. Affy or BBW/ GL. Which way did you go first?*

*let's just say that for argument's sake that NYC started west*

*I am assuming that you mean you were standing inside, where I posted above that "this is a maze of twisty little passages all alike", and went west from therer. If this assumtion is incorrect, tell me.*
