I have just read my entry on Prurience, Pornography and the Tabloid Press - A701056 currently waiting for final polishing after being sub-edited. I noticed that an error has been made in the editing process and would ask you to please change the construction of one of the paragraphs (as the existing one is somewhat confusing). I have given details of what I would like to be included in the conversation forum at the bottom of the entry.
Many thanks

I suggest you find out who's subbing it and let them know. If it has already been subbed then make sure you post to the entry marked "recommended" and not your original.

Thanks for responding . I've no way of knowing who subbed it. The entry has been recommended and, yes, I have left a message under the recommended version. But there has been no reply so far. I have now posted a message to the editors, but the pathways for pointing out errors is unclear and getting the chance to look over one's entry prior to it appearing on the front page would be beneficial. Anyway, I reckon I've done what I can for now.

I'm not sure what's going on, the version you linked to is not the recommended version but it says that the italics edited it. I suggest you wait for Monday for the italics to reply. Sorry.

Can I ask how you found out who the editor was? Also, I have posted my message on A701056 - this being the pending edition. There must be a mix-up somewhere.

Thanks Tango, Hello Zaphod
Thanks for letting us know about this one. You can find out who the Sub is for your entry by pasting in the title of your entry into 'Seach h2g2'. The Sub is listed on the Recommended version. It's convoluted, but it works Your entry bypassed the Subs this time as we have a rush on and needed to queue up some entries for the front page to cover for the Easter holidays, and so we edited it in house. Sorry to have slipped up - will go and have a look at it now!

Nah. A workflow problem. The way we worked out the sums, we're all right if we've got a certain number of entries coming in from the Scouts, then out to the Subs, to go up on the front page, under ordinary day-to-day circumstances. However, if someone asks us to queue up entries 4 weeks in advance for holidays, we're like oh lordy, where are they supposed to be coming from? So rather than nag the Scouts and Subs silly, we ask the Scouts to pick bonus picks every so often and edit a few in house.

All sorted then . I now know a little more about what goes on 'behind the scenes' - I mean that in a non-prurient way, of course. Thanks Tango and Anna for your patience and speedy resolution.
Best Wishes

I just noticed an entry on Jack The Ripper - A699753 in What's coming Up. Since he is mentioned in my entry I thought it may be useful to insert a link.
