You can call me TC Started conversation Nov 16, 2015
So annoying - I got the date wrong again yesterday, so now I have two 14ths November and no 15th.
When we were on holiday (I still have a few anecdotes) in Santa Barbara, we had spent a hard day sight-seeing, walking miles, looking at the Mission and eating fish and chips on the pier (Stearn's Wharf) - that was just like being in Brighton last year! - and got back to our hotel just as the sun was starting to go down. Being late October, that was quite early, really.
But the water in the pool was still pretty warm and inviting, and we had a little dip and a swim and then I went over to the hot tub, where someone was already sitting.
It turned out he was a fellow Brit and I had an interesting talk to him, mainly because he had such a familiar accent and it was a good conversation because he was talking a lot of sense. When I asked him where he was from, just for the record, like, it turned out that he was from Lowestoft. I KNEW I'd heard that accent before! Yup - that's 2legs' part of the woods!
I come from the West end of Suffolk, so we talk quite differently from those out on the coast, which is why I had to check with him, but I reckon you could still say "Small world!"

Which youtube earworm do you want, the Disney one or the one from "Gypsy?"*
*There's a third one, from the 1954 Judy Garland film, "A Star is Born," but I won't try to inflict it on you.
