You can call me TC

A three-day weekend. What a joy.

We shall probably light the fire for the first time tonight. Unless we go out for a meal.

To keep up with my resolutions of Day 1, I should be being artistic and informative. But who am I to compete with Cerys Matthews, whose programme on Sunday mornings on 6 music I have so often raved about?

Her voice is wonderful and the choice of music must surely be the mix only possible on 6 Music.

And I say that having been really able to compare with the radio of a few other countries. In Germany there is no really eclectic radio station (heaven forbid!), and in France they either talk about politics or just run adverts most of the time. When we were in Italy last, and listened to the Radio in the car, we were in the far South East and the car kept switching to Albanian Radio.

Off now to do out both my and my husband's wardrobes. I was going to do that anyway, but the clothes rail broke in mine the night before last and he's just fixed it, so I may as well have everything out and get rid of the fluff and clothes that I've "grown" out of. His is full of shirts with frayed cuffs and collars rubbed away by whiskers, and old white shirts that have yellowed with 20 years of non-use. I'll probably find loads of socks with holes in and underpants where the elastic shows through, or has lost all its elasticity. It might be fun. Especially with Cerys and her music in the background and a nice smiley - cappuccino standing on the window sill for the occasional slurp.

Magwitch - My name is Mags and I am funky.

We're building a 'new wardrobe' in our bedroom - I'm not going to tell you how many Tour/Band/Gaming Tshirts we've got. I wouldn't need to wash anything for a whole year the whole family was wearing one a day smiley - silly

Gnomon - time to move on

In general I don't like clothes with writing on much. I'd prefer a plain garment, but you have to pay more for those.

2legs - Hey, babe, take a walk on the wild side...

I generally don't get anything with writing on, or a 'advert' for the company who made it... shirt-wise its either cotton traders, landsend, or saville row thesedays, and they're never that* expensive, as I just wait until they've got the winter/wpring/summer/whatever offers on, Best I got was the SAville row, black long sleeved cotton shirts, £140 each, which ended up with an utterly insane offer, where I got three of them, for (I think), soemthing silly like £60 ... Mind, they're useually not that* good an offer, but £60 useually gets three plain solid coloured shirts from somewhere, if you can wait until the offer is on that suits ones own taste smiley - zen

Oh yeah - T shirts. My husband has a large collection of those with various Latin aphorisms on them, and loads of souvenir ones of Sorrento and Rome - he wears them when he's giving the preparatory lessons for the trips to Sorrento. There must have been more than 40 tee shirts - even after I'd thrown out the ones that were completely frayed around the neck.
