grr Started conversation Oct 12, 2007
I live 2 mins down the road from the school I currently go to, which has a sixth from and many do well from there. However, in year 7 I was an aggravating little sh1t, didn't get close to anyone and as most people know, if you miss a group in year 7 you'll never truly fit in. So I have spent my whole time at this school clinging to the people from primary like a lost sheep, I have a few friends who I didn't know from then, but no one close.
Hence I have an interest in going to college instead. However, there will be problems with getting there, requiring me to get up approximately 40 mins earlier, and if I bodge it up again, I am completely alone and spending at least £10.50 a week. If it goes well I will meet amazing people and have really great mates and a possibly more UCAS points.
So stick with the same old or brave somewhere knew? Any advice/oppinions

I'm not sure if it's just new-ness, more of an I'm going to end up being a twt again and my life will be total hell.
I'm sorry if this feels like throwing advice back in your face but I just don't know what to do. I'm different behind a keybord compared to face to face.

My first instinct was that you wouldn't even be asking yourself this if you didn't a break from where you are, any reputation you have, the inhibitions of feeling like you haven't fitted in much of anywhere since Y7 and that most people around aren't really so close.

Go to college, it's a more adult atmosphere. You'll be suprised at how informal the teaching staff are and treat you with far more respect, though I can only advise based my own children's experiences.
Talk to Robyn, she has the unique ability for insight and erudite advice.

Robyn goes by the monicker: Riding through the glen/Collecting her merrie men/For halloween games
Checkout JEM, it may help, hence I suggested her counsel. She'll undoubtably be back Monday, if not before.
Always happy to help a fellow traveller on the way.

In robyn/meg's words of wisdom, apply for both, better to have to turn one down than have no places at all.
Been listening to JOJ?

Are you a fan of scarling at all, I think I've heard somewhere they're recording again in January.

Mmm, I only listen to either of their stuff on internet. If I see one of their CD's cheap I'll buy it, but no such luck so far and there's only one CD shop in the nearest city now, which I'm quite gutted about. Got to go further if I want an independent shop.
