h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Everyone (including me) finds this moderation issue really annoying, but all the anger about it is just making me awfully unhappy.

I LIKE everyone here; I love this place, but I SO don't want to get into big fights about moderation. All my friends are becoming involved, and I feel like I'm the only one not taking sides, but all the tension just makes me want to .

And then I don't want to be here if it makes me unhappy.

It's difficult....

I use it as therapy! I'm NOT good at "fighting" in real life, but I use this as training.

My RL is stressful enough right now; being here is supposed to be relaxing, not just reading one person criticising another for how they're dealing with the Moderation issue; why do there have to be 'sides'?

I'm not happy, my best friend's miserable; and now this place is like a tinderbox, or at least, that's how it feels.



And thank you; although I have to say it was a surprise wedding; so surprising, Bob and I had to hear about it from Happy.

I also have problems with the moderation, but I am not going to become cranky or nasty because of it! I think we can still keep this a fun place!

Don't worry about it. It'll all blow over when people realise they are powerless in the face of the BBC. Think of smiley things like puppies and turkish delight and posies and the tears on little children's faces and lingerie. well, they do it for me.

Wow, I picked a good time to get into THIS conversation. I just dropped in because I remember meeting you, Sad, mad, or bad not long after you arrived at h2g2. I see you've come a long way!

Just want to say hi, and I agree with you guys about the moderation issue being annoying. There is no foul language in the original HGTTG, and is it really necessary in this one? Anyways, if a few asterisks prevent you from knowing the intended word, than it is either OUTRAGEOUSLY vulgar, or you are a dumb m*****f******.

I can understand people being upset by moderation; there's nothing more annoying than having your post removed, or finding that the one you want to reply to has been, but it seems to me that some of the people who are trying to fight it are also fighting EACHOTHER. I don't want this place to degenerate into factions. We're all friends, aren't we?
