A bitter blow - I cant do 4 a-levels and an AS level. 
We can only do four subjects and pointless yet compulsory general studies. what can i do?????

Is it me or is general studies just totally pointless? If you want to learn about the subject u'll do it anyway, and you're not taught enough about any one thing to give you any kind of superior knowledge. And some of the things u'r taught are incradibly pointless. Wine tasting for example. I don't have anything against wine tasting, but if i wanted to be a wine taster i'd do it in my own time.

A: Different school.
B: Maybe u can try dropping General Studies
C: Flunk general studies and spend ur time on something more worthwhile.

good advice but
1 no other school i could get into does greek
2 i've tried to drop general studies but "it doesnt take up as many lessons as other a-levels"
3 so yeh i'll probably do this but i still cant do an extra subject

i was gonna do maths, french, spanish and italian, and further maths instead of key skills (which is even more pointless and horrible than general studies), but now i've been told that further maths counts as a whole extra a-level in terms of lesson time as well, so i'm not doing italian. i was a bit scared of italian actually, but still, it's really unfair.
