So he is dead.
For some reason some people seem to be immortal. 89 is a honourable age and his works are still all there. Still it makes me sad.

It just isn't fair, is it? Two good ones gone in the space of a couple of days, and plenty of really bad film-makers are still with us.

The good news is that their films are still there.
Odd that we don't notice them much when they are alive but as soon as they die, especially in a row, it's kinda unfair. I didn't even know Antonioni made his last film only 3 years ago.

maybe i am going out with the wrong people
peter wants to see the simpson movie - and he would prolly be bored stiff from watching antonioni and/or bergman

Naah, I was thinking more like you should have been going out with Bergman and Antonioni to be sure they're alive and well. Now it's too late for that, of course.

nothing wrong at all. i look forward to seeing the movie. our local critic, a 66 year old male, highly educated in the finer arts, says it's excellent and very deep fun
