Years ago there used to be a sort of floating bridge contraption for getting from one side of the harbour. Basically it was two boats with planks laid on top - I think it was for pedestrians only, but may
be wrong about that.
Does this still run?

I belive you are refering to the pontoon on Albert Quey. It only appered in the summer months and was for the use of boat owners only as a place to more (nautical for park) said boats. It was still in use in 1996 when I left Fowey to go to university. I have only been back twice so dont know if it is still in use but i expect it is
