Gnomon - time to move on

I'll hopefully be writing up a report of the meet for The Post, but a preliminary version of my photos is available at:

I'll add titles later.

Great photos. smiley - magic

I had a look immediately after I saw your journal early this morning.

I think you should be made official h2g2 meet photographer. smiley - biggrin

Thanks, Bel. I'm good at individual portraits, but Ben/Mrs Z's pictures of the group during the walk capture the haphazard, spontaneous nature of the meet better.smiley - smiley

I hope I'll have enough time to put the titles up this evening. I only got home on Sunday night at 12:10, so I didn't have much time then. Yesterday evening, I had 15 minutes to cook dinner and another 15 to eat it, then the whole evening was spent at a choir rehearsal. I finally got the pictures tidied and published by 12:30.

We've a further rehearsal tonight, another on Thursday, and yet another on Saturday afternoon, as our concert is on Saturday night.

You can call me TC

I looked this morning too - now I'm waiting for the captions to identify a couple of unfamiliar faces.

Titles up now -- thanks! Always fun to put faces on otherwise fantastical beings.

Yes I managed to get a couple of minutes at the externally connected PC over lunch hour. My normal PC can see the site but doesn't show any of the photos!

I see now that I didn't get pictures of quite a few people - MMF, Roymondo, Ben and Z, Pete and possibly some others I can't think of at the moment.

MMF - Keeper of Mustelids, with added P.M.A., is now in a relationship.

Not like you, Gnomon. I know how, unlike me, you like portrait photos.

I know we have Azahar's gallery, as well as the h2g2's photographers, but should we have a h2g2 photographic archive, independent of a researcher?

Maybe it would be better to use (and link to) Facebook for that sort of thing?

Mazin -- don't you know nothing happens here independent of a researcher?

MMF, I think I didn't get any good portraits of you because you were giving the guided tour most of the time, and it's hard to take a picture of someone when they are talking. There is a nice one of you and Bel which will probably be in the meet report.

And I already have lots of pictures of you so I was concentrating on snapping the new people like Hapi and Hati.

TRiG, you can of course use the picture of yourself in any way you like.

Thanks, Gnomon. I think I'll start by making it my Barlesque avatar, if I can remember how to do that.
