Well done for the apostrophe theft!
I pointed out a superfluous apostrophe on a sign displayed at several locations at my place of work but it was never corrected. Fortunately only a temporary sign, so it no longer irritates me.
The problem with not speaking properly is that it creates difficulties learning grammar in one's own language, let alone another one. A frequent error I noticed at our local primary school is the use of 'come' instead of 'came'. Causes no end of havoc in secondary school trying to learn a foreign language.
