h2g2 - The Number 1 stop for your information needs
Number Six Posted Feb 26, 2005
Who the flaming chuff ever hits the 'show omitted results' link though?
Go on, clever clogs, find it with an h2g2 search then...

That link is quite useful when looking for original porn.
Allegedly.

And hootoo searches have been notoriously unreliable for a while now.

I'm not really here Posted Feb 26, 2005
I use show ommitted results sometimes. So there. And it's not looking for porn. I can find quite enough of that without needing to even get on the internet.

Yeah, well my newsagent is run by two battleaxes who think FHM is top-shelf material, let alone anything more risque.

Edward the Bonobo - Gone. Posted Feb 28, 2005
Strewth! My "Georg Elser" A3054359 is the 2nd English language one (the first being imdb).
I'm not sure that this is a good thing. Am I *really* a world authority?

Spire of Dublin: Gnomon & co are google's no. 1 choice!
Wandering Noon: no. 1
How to Practise Music: no. 1
Cyclists: be Safe: No 1
Joseph Groocock: no 3 (plus, at no. 4, my PS)
How to Gamble and Win: no. 4
Mighty impressive!
Curiously, though small words like "how to" "of" "and" "be" etc. are supposedly omitted from the search, leaving them out of the search box brings things up in a different order.

Just thought you'd be interested to know (this has more to do with you 'h2g2 has a lot of readers' thread, which I can't find) but we are getting mentioned in blogs too! Kat pointed this one out to me:
http://www.totalobscurity.com/ - just under 3/4 of the way down, my Midnight Oil entry gets mentioned and linked!
