The moon is going to go in front of Venus today at about 2:53 (Time accurate for Dublin - other locations will be slightly different times). Even though it will be daylight, you'll be able to see the moon. With binoculars you'll be able to see Venus coming up to the moon and then disappearing as it goes behind the dark side of the moon. If it is a good day, you might even be able to see Venus in broad daylight.
