I'm vaguely thinking about going to the London meet in October. I haven't been to a meet since January 2005.

Go for it, as I would appreciate meeting you. After all, uyu were the first person I met here when you replied to my first 'Ask' question.

I am also organising an optional afternoon event which will either be Kew Gardens or The London Wetland Centre, to which you are more than welcome to attend.

Yea! theres a big discussion going on somewhere regarding the afternoon activity; I think Q gardens was winning but several other things were being discussed... I'll hunt down the conversation thread for you ... probably tomorrow now its a bit late

I've booked the tickets! Azara and I will be coming to the meet.

Now all I have to do is persuade a few people I like to go too.

Sorry - it's rather an unfortunate date for me. It's just at the end of the half term holidays here and we were going to take our pukka holiday over those two weeks, so I'll probably be just returning on that day. It would have been really nice to see Azara and yourself again. Maybe in Dublin...

Whenever hte date is some people can come and ohters can't no fair.... the HooToo London meet should be made a national... no, a international holiday so no one has to work or study on it will update the atendee list later and I'll try find the conversation about the afternoon activitys for you

ooh, if you're coming I'll definitely put my name down! It's much easier to find a babysitter for J now that he's old enough to really give my brother a run for his money on the playstation - he loves J visiting now.

Now if we end up at Kew/Richmond for the meet I would have little problem with accomadation seeing as that is the end of town I nearly lived in once upon a time.

Also Ran, I notice you're not listed on the official list of people who have said they are coming yet. Did you tell them on the sign-up conversation? It may be that 2Legs hasn't updated the list yet.

I'm sorely tempted to go to this. I'll check out flights and hotels etc.

I'd still like to come, Gnomon - there are an awful lot of people I'd like to catch up with, but it looks like it will be a fairly last-minute decision

Yes I did reply and say that Keith and I were coming. I thought that the decision was that we should go to Kew and I was hoping that I could hire an electric wheelkchair which would mean that I could be so-to speak mobile.

Kaz has very kindly suggested a village in London, but I do not think I can do two things in a day.

I am having great trouble with my computer again. I did write to you but you obviously did not get my request. I have been off line for over five days, and even though I have now answered all their questions correctly, they keep "locking" me out. I am beginning to get quite paranoic about it!!.

My telephone number is in the Sevenoaks book. You would be able to phone me. I did ask you and Azara to lunch on the sunday if you could manage it.
